Nominated for 7 Golden Globes

"I grew up a-dreamin' of bein' a cowboy, and Lovin' the cowboy ways." -- Willie Nelson

The biggest movie out now, if you believe the Hollywood hype, is "Brokeback Mountain", a film about the relationship of two cowboys in Montana set in 1969. What kind of relationship you might ask?

A homosexual relationship.

That's right. An entire film about gay cowboys. The film has been nominated for 7 Golden Globe Awards. Why is this not surprising?

Because Hollywood filmmakers are the ones that give out the awards. And they have no concept of reality. They want to try to convince real people that homosexuality is normal. They will fail. Most Americans know it is perversion. They just won't admit it.

The fact is, if this film didn't receive so much self congratulatory hype, no one would go see it. Well, no one except homosexuals.

In point of fact, few people want to see men making out. And even less want to see men having sex with each other. But Hollywood will hype it because it furthers their perverted agenda.

I predict now that Brokeback Mountain will no doubt win all 7 Golden Globe awards. And that is scary.

Why is it scary?

Because it will encourage other filmmakers to make pro-gay movies. Soon all America will be awash in homosexual movies. We won't be able to swing the proverbial dead cat without hitting one.

It might actually prove to be a good thing in the long run. Initially, people will be curious and go see them. But eventually, they will grow tired of watching men having sex with other men and the attendance will drop significantly.

The majority of Americans are sickened by homosexuality. Brokeback Mountain will fail to convince real thinking people that homosexuality is normal.

In an online opinion poll, the last time I looked at it, 93% of those polled said they would rather see "King Kong" over "Brokeback Mountain", and yet, "King Kong" received no nominations at all. What's wrong with this picture?

Hollywood is what's wrong.

"Hollywood is what's wrong."

This Moonbat invasion has truly become serious. Hollywood has been writing movies for years about invasions from outer space. And guess who the aliens turn out to be: Moonbat Liberals, many who are making movies.

We are indeed under alien attack, and this attack is more insideous than any attack from outer space. At least people from another planet would be able to be easily identified. But these guys actually look like us. Yipes! "Body Snatchers," for real! ARRRRRRGGGGGGH....HELLLLLP!

"Bareback Mounter" will be a total bomb.....But it will win all kinds of awards.

Truthfully, I hope Hollywood keeps cranking out shit like this, because it will lead to a complete public outcry.......Which will force them to return to normal. Instead of Normo.

How much longer till we have movies in the other GLBTTBNP realm? We've had gay and lesbian, and surely bi.......But it won't be long till they put one out with a little Tranny, Tri, Bestial, Necrophilia, and I'm sure they're dying to put out a Pedo movie too.

Bunch of sick maggots.

I agree. I think it will bomb. It's amazing though. It gets seven Golden Globe Nominations and it's only been released in four theatres. AGENDA.

I don't think it will bomb. First, because people will be curious. Second, because it has been nominated for all these awards and people will always go see any movie that wins awards.

The inevitable subsequent movies that this one will spawn that attempt to normalize this self destructive lifestyle will bomb.

If King Kong was remade as King Dong & was about a gay ape, you can bet a banana that it would be nominated.

Mark, you beat me to it! I was going to post on my blog about this today. Luckily I checked yours first to save me the work! I'm going to be linking over to you today.

I might actually go see a movie about a giant gay ape.

I'll never look at Heath Ledger the same again. Yuck, that bile in my throat is nasty!

I think Globe and Oscar noms are given based not on popularity or content matter, but on the artistic merit of the film as critiqued by film scholars within and outside of the industry.

As for the whole issue of a movie about gay movies being made, well, the same civil liberties that allows it allows for movies such as "The Passion of the Christ." So I'm not going to complain.

I myself would rather see "King Kong" than "Brokeback Mountain" because it looks like a better movie, though I find it an interesting concept (the stereotypical masculine roughneck being gay).

With that being said, NOTHING this holiday season will top "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." That movie was awesome.

Well said, Mark.
Thanks you.

As of Wednesday, Brokeback Mountain was ranked #12 with less than $900,000 in boxoffice receipts. King Kong opened Wednesday at just under $10 million and that was considered disappointing. But all that will be forgotten come awards time.

As I said, box office figures are not part of the nomination process.
