A Change That Offers No Hope

All of these opinions and theory's of why Obama won and Romney lost are getting us nowhere. The whole and only reason why Romney lost the election, clearly, is massive voter fraud

The evidence is ubiquitous

Incidents of voter fraud are like cockroaches. If you see one, you know there are thousands more behind the baseboards. And, so far, there is evidence of massive voter fraud nationwide.

 There's the Facebooker who bragged that he's already voted 5 times for Obama and plans on voting more

Then, the thousands of votes cast over and above the number of actual registered voters in several states (states which, coincidentally, did not enact a photo ID requirement to register), and, curiously, mostly for Obama. 

Entire precincts that, strangely, had no votes cast for Romney at all! 

Not to mention those polling places that had armed Black Panthers standing at the entrances intimidating voters. 

These cannot be mere coincidences.

Unfortunately, there is little recourse. There is  little chance the votes will ever be recounted. 

There is no chance the system will ever be fixed so long as the election boards are controlled by a government that is corrupt from the President all the way down to the local dogcatcher.

That's my opinion.


So far, you can still feel free to disagree with me in this country, but one wonders how long we will still enjoy that freedom, and the others freedoms we currently take for granted, such as freedom of religion (not from religion) and the right to bear arms.

Enjoy your rights while you still have them.

If the unscrupulous can already control the election outcome, there's no stopping them from total control of the electorate
.

What I Don't Understand Part 2

What I don't understand is why so many otherwise intelligent American citizens don't get a simple concept: 

People who earn over $250,000 a year are the business owners; the ones that create the jobs. If taxes are raised on these business owners/job creators, they will not continue to offer their goods and services at the same prices. They will not accept losses in their bottom line, no matter how patriotic they are! And, that bottom line is profit

There are only two ways a business can recoup the loss of profit due to higher taxes

1. They will raise the prices on their goods and services. They will have to to keep their profit margin at the same levels as before the higher taxes were levied upon them. 

Do you think they will give themselves a cut in pay? Dream on, little Liberal. 

And, when they raise the prices on their goods and services, the consumer will not buy those goods or services as readily as they would have if the prices were still low, thus, making it necessary for the business owner to raise the prices yet again to compensate for the loss of sales. This cycle  will continue on and on and on until the business goes bankrupt and/or out of business, or, 

2. The business owner will begin to lay off employees because he can no longer afford to pay them. If that happens, there are less people employed and, consequently,  less people who can afford the higher prices started because the business owner had to pay ever increasing higher taxes. This will undoubtedly happen to enough business owners that it will have a lasting impact on each and everyone of us, the taxpaying public.

In the end, due to ever increasing taxes, higher and higher prices on goods and services, and more people on the unemployment rolls, the Government is all that is left to provide for the people. 

Now, here's a question for all you big Government loving Liberals:

How does the Government provide for the ever increasing number of newly unemployed and newly impoverished citizens? Where do they get the funds? 

Naturally, by increasing taxes on the rich again, which merely exacerbates the problem the Government was trying to solve in the first place.

Then, what do we have? Government trying to stretch all the revenue generated by less and less taxes collected from the few businesses fortunate enough to still be in business despite such a heavy burden of taxes and redistributed to take care of the hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, that the Government itself put out of work. 

It will mean breadlines every bit as long as those that afflicted the Soviet Union in the mid 20th century.

Do you understand, Liberals? If you do, will you be so anxious to vote for a tax and spend Liberal again?

Sadly, I still don't think you get it yet. 

That's what I don't understand.

More Hope And Change

For the record: I don't believe the re-election of Obama is the end of America as we know it.

 I do believe we are in for some radical changes now that he has "more flexibility".

 In spite of our fears and apprehensions, I think the majority of Congress is still patriotic, and will only stand for his attempt to "fundamentally transform America" for so long, and then, they will see the what direction he is going and will stop supporting his Socialistic-Islamist policies.

 He cannot fundamentally change America into either of those anti-American states without the cooperation of the Congress, and while he has the support of most of the Democrat Representatives and Senators, there is only so much he can do and still have the amount of support he needs to accomplish his goal.

 Of course, he can still issue executive order after executive order to bypass Congress, but there is a limit to what he can get away with. Even the Congressmen who actively support his Liberal Socialistic agenda will not let him continue to make Congress irrelevant.

 They have their pride and aspirations, too. They won't take to being ignored for long.

 Then, there's all the allegations of corruption festering just outside the White House doors. He and his willing accomplices in the media can only fend off the truth for so long, and four years is a long time.

 The old adage, "Give him enough rope,and he will hang himself" comes to mind.

 We can no longer vote him out, but we can still impeach him out.

Why, Mr. Obama? Why?

I have not been posting blog entries for quite some time now, and that is because I've been posting my thoughts on Facebook. This morning, I posted the following comment on Facebook, and I thought I'd share it with those who don't follow me on Facebook. Besides, we need to get the word out in all forms of media we have available to us:

I know I promised my wife and my Facebook friends that I would try to be less political, but now, in the last few days before the general election, it is becoming more and more important (for me, at least) to get the word out on what we may expect should Obama be re-elected. Many "experts" are predicting a Romney win next week, but I can't be that sure. Because the main news networks, CBS, NBC, and ABC are not forthcoming on the essential facts surrounding the tragedy in Benghazi, Libya on Sept 11, of this year, I feel it's imperative that I do my part to educate those who would rather not know these "unpleasant facts", be they Democrat or Republican. It is a sad fact that some registered voters, regardless of party affiliation, would just rather let the politicians fight it out among themselves and let the chips fall where they may. 

I can't do that

People need to know, and they need to ask questions. Questions like, Why did our President refuse to help the besieged in Benghazi? We now know he was aware of the ongoing 7+ hour conflict in real time, and we know he was asked at least three times to send help, probably in time to rescue Ambassador Stevens and the others, but he refused. 

I have to ask why. And, as freedom loving American citizens, all of us need to ask the same question. 

Why did he stand down and do nothing to help our people in Libya? 

I've heard the opinions of those who oppose him, and I've also heard the explanation from those who were privy to the decision, and none of them make sense to me. 

Republicans say he did it to improve his chances to win re-election. But, in what universe would refusing to save dying American citizens help win an election? 

Democrats say they didn't send in help because they weren't sure what exactly was going on and didn't want to act until they were. That explanation sounds plausible. Yes, it sounds plausible --- until we learn that later reports reveal they (Obama included) knew exactly what was going on while it was happening. 

Here's something else that should make an Obama supporter ask questions:

Why did Obama blame an obscure Youtube video for the attacks in Libya when it is now clear that he knew all along the video had nothing to do with it? If I was an Obama supporter, that one fact alone would make me wonder if 4 more years of Obama would be worth the risk of voting for him again.

Boycott Me

The recent announced boycott of Chick-Fil-A by homosexual activists for statements that it's COO made is, I think, a good idea. I think they should boycott everybody that makes statements that offends them.

So, I want to announce right here that I believe homosexuals are perverts.

 Boycott me.

When you see me coming, go back into your closet. Stop bragging about your chosen sexual proclivities in my presence. Don't make out with each other where I can see you. Don't hold hands in front of me.

Boycott me.

You men (and I use the term loosely), stop swaying your hips when you walk, straighten out your wrists, dress like a man, quit talking like a woman. Stop lisping.

Boycott me.

You women (again, I use the term loosely), grow your hair out. Dress, walk, and talk like women. Wear makeup, high heels, and carry purses like normal women.

Boycott me.

These and all other overt acts of degeneration and perversion in my presence make me want to vomit. So stop.

For my physical health and well being, boycott me.

All of you homosexuals: Stop trying to convince me that you are normal and that your perversion is natural. It's annoying, and you'll never going to convince me anyway.

Boycott me and my progeny.

And, most importantly, stop trying to teach my children and grandchildren that it's just another normal and acceptable lifestyle.

 Boycott me.  

Yes, please. for God's sake, please, boycott me!

My Problem With Obamacare Part 1

 Here are some of the problems I  foresee when Obamacare goes into effect:

First,  he says I can keep my health insurance.  That is, if my health insurance company doesn't go bankrupt, or worse, out of business, because of the prohibitive costs of Government regulation and red tape. If they don't go out of business, the expenses incurred by all the regulations and  provisions demanded by the Obama administration's health insurance Department (yet another expense that will be borne by the tax payers), and, headed up by Obama's Insurance Czar, will necessarily make the costs of health insurance skyrocket, to the point where "middle class" Americans will not be able to afford their own insurance premiums.

So then, if the citizen can no longer afford their own health insurance premiums, Obama's plan will punish him with a tax. What if the citizen can't afford to pay the tax? Will he then have to go to jail?


He says our existing healthcare will be "more secure and affordable". How is this possible? As I've already explained, with all the new regulations and provisions, there is no way health insurance will be more affordable. And secure? Exactly how is higher costs and the threat of additional taxes, fines, and jail make us more secure?

There is also the possibility that Obama's new health insurance Czar will offer health insurance companies corporate tax breaks and incentives for their compliance. or possibly even to urge them to allow Obama to completely take over their industry (which, I believe, is the primary reason for Obamacare).

Nice for the insurance corporations, but who's going to foot the bill for these bribes? Do you suppose Obama will debit his personal bank account to pay them? No, I don't either.

Then, he says insurance companies can no longer impose limits on coverage or deny coverage because of pre-existing conditions. Well, that sounds just wonderful, doesn't it? But, how will that make health insurance more affordable?

Remember, health insurance companies are profit making entities.

The reason they haven't accepted pre-existing conditions up until now is because doing so would drive the costs of insurance premiums up to the point that only the super wealthy (and they can afford health care) can afford them.  Does anyone think insurance companies will pay the benefits covering those conditions without increasing premiums to cover the loss?

If you do, you're either naive or willfully ignorant.

 Oh, here's a surprise... Not!

I've been saying this all along: If a man molests an underage boy, or a woman molests an underage girl, it is a homosexual act, by virtue of the gender of the offender.

It is absolutely incomprehensible that a heterosexual could molest a child of the same sex. Heterosexual men are simply not attracted to other males, regardless of age. Likewise heterosexual women.

I know homosexuals and their enablers like to claim that most (some even say all) men who molest boys are heterosexual, but it can't be true. Even if they appear to be heterosexual to others, as soon as they molest a child of the same sex, or indulge in child pornography, they are homosexual.

The act defines them. 

The same is true of men who claim they are bisexual. It doesn't matter if they are married, or are otherwise known as womanizers, or appear "macho". If they have sex with another man, they are homosexual.

And, homosexuality is deviancy.

Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines the word, "deviant" thus:

"different from what is considered to be normal or morally correct."

It is not normal for people to have sex with another person of the same sex. Nor is it morally correct. Because it is morally incorrect, it is not at all surprising that a homosexual would possess child pornography

. Morally incorrect people have a warped sense of morals, if they have any morals at all.

Homosexuality is abnormal behavior and not natural. Whether the other participant is a child or an adult. Whether the act is consensual. It is not normal. It is not natural. It is sick.

My Father: A Man Of Faith

My father, Norval E. Maness.

Whenever I needed good advice, I just picked up the phone and called him. I wish I could do that today. I am sure he is looking down, watching over me now, but I wish I could talk to him one more time.

He raised 6 children, and he did a pretty good job. All but one have turned out well rounded, responsible adults. I know I have integrity and honesty because I learned from the example set by my dad. Not because of anything I've done.


Let me tell you an amazing story about my Dad.

Dad was a man of faith. Full time, he was an engineer at the Military Aircraft division of  Boeing Corporation. Part time, he was a lay preacher and a deacon in the Baptist church.  Before I was born, he was a sort of circuit riding preacher in  Missouri. He even preached at least once in the church that the infamous Jesse James had once been a member. He actually met an elderly member of that church who had known Jesse James personally.

After I was born, Dad was a Sunday School teacher, and would often fill in at various local churches for a vacationing or ill pastor. When I was a child, he was asked to be the pastor of a mission our church was planting. I couldn't have been more than 10 at the time, and I still recall a very moving illustration he used in one sermon.

Dad had his faults, though.  For one thing, he was a chain smoker. Of course, back in those days, smoking didn't carry the stigma with it that it does now. A lot of wonderful Christian people smoked in those days. It was common.

His smoking eventually caught up with him, and he became very ill after he retired from Boeing. The malady at the time was called Chronic Respiratory Pulmonary Disease. It has a different name now. He suffered with this disease for several years. I don't remember exactly how long he suffered but it had to be over 5 years, if not more. It is a cruel and tortuous disease. He had great difficulty breathing, and his lungs were often so sore form trying to breathe he could barely stand the pain.

As the disease progressed he became weaker and weaker. He became dependent upon oxygen and the disease spawned other diseases, such as Diabetes and emphysema, At times, it got so bad that he had to go to the hospital to receive treatment to keep him alive and breathing. He had a calender on the wall on which he marked his good days and bad days. The bad days began to outnumber the good.

Finally, he could no longer remain home. He was admitted to the hospital and the doctors informed he and my Mother that he would probably not be coming home. A couple of days later we were told he would not last the night. He was on his deathbed.

As I said, my father was a man of faith and on that day, weary of the painful struggle to live, he prayed a prayer, that went something like this:

"Father, I can't go on like this. "If it is your will that I should die, take me quickly. If you would have me live, heal me." Tomorrow at 2:00Pm, I want to be either healed or dead. In Jesus' name and for His sake, Amen."

Dad lived through the night, and at exactly 2:00 P.M. he drew the first clear breath he had drawn in many years.

The doctors were astounded. They performed tests and checked and double checked the results. They could not find any trace of the disease that had ravaged my father for over 5 years.

My father was healed. Completely.

Shortly thereafter, My Mom and dad signed up with the Home mission board of the Kansas-Nebraska convention of Southern Baptists. The Mission board assigned them to serve as church planters in Claflin, a small town in Central Kansas. They answered the challenge, and soon they were having church services for a handful of people, with Dad serving as their pastor. No doubt, he shared his miracle story with the congregation, and I know they were blessed by his testimony.

Once the Claflin church was firmly established, the Home Mission board brought them back home to Wichita. Shortly after that, Dad's disease came back, and this time progressed much more rapidly. One Sunday night after my parents had returned home from evening services, Dad told Mom he wasn't feeling well and was going to bed. He never got there. He stopped walking right there in the middle of his living room and collapsed. He was dead before he hit the floor.

I firmly believe we all here on this earth to fulfill God's purpose for our lives. Dad believed that, too. Before Dad's remarkable and miraculous recovery, he often said he knew he was supposed to do something important for God, but didn't know what God had in mind for him.

I know what his purpose was. God saved him and kept him healthy until he had fulfilled his purpose.

Some would say that what happened to my Dad was mere coincidence, that there is a scientific explanation for his recovery.

But I know my family witnessed a genuine miracle.

Obama's Desperation

Imagine you are in line for a big promotion at work. For the last 6 years or more, you have done everything you are supposed to do to give yourself an advantage. You have worked hard specifically for the opportunity to gain this promotion. You come in early and stay late. You volunteer to do extra work. You take courses to improve your marketability. You go out of your way to make sure your boss knows you are the one responsible for bringing in more business. You grovel, plead, beg, cajole, befriend, and bribe to enhance your reputation to literally everyone who has any influence at all with your boss. You pick up the check at those business luncheons with your boss. You let him win at golf.

Now, imagine, in spite of all your efforts, the boss brings in someone from outside the company with no experience, no work history, no sense of responsibility, and no brains, and gives that person the job you have been working so hard for so many years.

How would you feel?

Would that give you positive feelings for your boss? Would you feel betrayed? Would you continue to like and respect your boss? Wouldn't you, in fact, resent him? Would you be likely do anything to help your boss in the future?

The Obama administration announced Friday it will stop deporting illegal immigrants who come to the country at a young age. Obviously, this is a desperate attempt to win votes from immigrant voters.

Nothing more.

 He thinks by relaxing immigration laws and allowing illegal aliens to remain in the country, the move will endear himself to Hispanics, and they will, in turn, vote for him in droves this November.

 I don't think it will work.

The only Hispanics who can vote, so far, are those who have become legal citizens, and those citizens became U.S. citizens by doing what they were supposed to do, legally.

Just as the employee who works tirelessly for years to get that promotion, many of them waited years to become legal American citizens. I don't think they will take too kindly to illegal aliens who have been given a free and effortless path to citizenship without having to go through the process legally.

Yes, some will buy into Obama's bribe, but I think most legal immigrants will see through the sham, and, even if they are lifelong Democrats, may very well vote for anybody but Obama, if only out of pure resentment.

Unlike Obama, I think our legal Latino citizens are smart. He obviously thinks they aren't.

What's Happening

OK. I guess it's about time I wrote another blogpost.

I have no excuse, other than I haven't felt motivated. All I can write about is being written about by other, more articulate bloggers than I, anyway.

Perhaps part of my lack of motivation lies in the distraction of trying to focus on the ongoing calamities that are currently effecting my life. Simply put, personal problems are occupying the majority of my thoughts and keeping me awake nights.

 As my two readers no doubt know, I recently moved from Virginia, back to my hometown of Wichita, Kansas.

 There are several reasons my wife and I (primarily, my wife) made the decision to make this move. I will touch on a few:

1. Most of my family is in or near Wichita. My mother, soon to reach the age of 92, lives in Wichita. She is still relatively healthy, but, at 91, she is having some ambulatory problems. A couple of years ago, she suffered a mini-stroke which, fortunately, didn't have any lasting effects, but it bothered me that I wasn't close enough, geographically speaking, to be of any assistance should a more serious stroke occur. On top of that, my financial situation would have made it difficult, if not impossible, to be present for her funeral, if, God forbid, she suddenly passed away. I have children and grandchildren in Wichita and Osawatomie in Kansas, and in Independence and Booneville in Missouri. I had never seen my two youngest grandchildren until we came back here.

2. My wife is an only child who never had children of her own, and both of her parents had passed away in the last few years, leaving her with few family members left in Virginia. She wanted to be close to the kids and grandkids, I suppose, so she could spoil them.

3. Because of lack of funds, we were unable to keep our house maintained. It was falling apart, and we simply didn't have the money to fix it up.

 Unfortunately, since we moved here, things haven't gone as we anticipated and we are suffering more financial difficulties than we experienced in Virginia. My pay is substantially less and the cost of living here is higher. The combination of those two factors have placed us in a difficult situation.

So, you will, I hope, understand that I have been pre-occupied with concerns other than keeping up with my blogging.

I am pursuing some options, and hopefully, soon will be motivated to blog further.

Improving Self Image

When I'm out and about, shopping, walking the dog, or whatever, I've noticed the increasing number of obese kids.

Now, I know there are multiple  reasons for the prevalence of this phenomena,among them, the sedentary lifestyle brought on by the ease of access to video games and home computers. There also appears to be, in spite of Michelle Obama's anti-obesity, eat healthy campaign, more and more kids who don't eat healthy.

Or do they?

School cafeterias have gone to, what I believe, ridiculous lengths to force kids, at least while they are at school, to eat nothing but "healthy foods", but it seems to me the more they push healthy eating on the kids, the fatter they get. What do they do? Eat the healthy food at lunch, and then come home and pig out on Ho-Ho's?


This observation is slightly off topic, but over the years, I've noticed most vegetarians look physically unhealthy, and yes, obese, too. I wonder if perhaps healthy eating is not so healthy as the so-called experts would have us believe. 

Then there's low self esteem. That certainly would help create a poor self image in a child.

Listen. I want to make it clear that I have no scientific studies or research to reference here. This is only my own observations and theories. I cannot prove anything. This is just me and my "out of Left field" perspective sort of thinking out loud, in text, so to speak.

OK. So we have a sedentary lifestyle combined with unhealthy eating, and low self esteem. Could there be other things?


I am beginning to think there is one more demon hiding in the closet.

Political  Correctness.

Throughout the last couple of decades our society has been pushing sensitivity training on kids They've also been obsessing over kid's self esteem. Perhaps they have pushed this agenda overboard just a tad?

Have we become a little overmuch sensitive?


No doubt we need to do what we can to help a child feel good about himself, but shouldn't some of the responsibility fall to the child? What I mean is, we want the child to want to feel good about himself. Right? If there is an issue with his self esteem, shouldn't we encourage him to make some changes in his self image himself instead of merely accepting him as he is to spare his feelings?

We, as a society, are so busy trying not to hurt his feelings, that we have forgotten to pay attention to how all our efforts are affecting him.

Stay with me here. I'm about to get radical.

To set this thought up, I'm going to ask my older readers to remember back to your school days. Do you remember the "different" kids? How were they treated by the other kids?

That's right. They were picked on. And, dare I say this out loud? They were bullied.

Look. I understand how being bullied makes a child feel. I was bullied as a child because I was short. I mean really short. When I was a Sophomore in high school, I was so short I had to sit on a phone book in Driver's training. I was the shortest kid in High School when I was a Junior, including the girls. I didn't have  my growth spurt until between my 11th and 12th grade years.

Did I have low self esteem? You bethcha!

But, you know what? I learned to deal with it and I grew out of it.

But being short is not something one can change. Obesity can be cured. And, while I'm on the subject. So can a host of other things that can negatively effect self image. Obesity, hygiene, and, homosexuality.

When I was in school, fat kids, dirty kids, and kids that acted like a fairy were bullied unmercifully, and guess what? If they didn't want to be picked on, they lost weight, they took showers and washed their clothes, and the effeminate boys stopped acting and dressing like girls. And tomboys started acting and dressing like girls.

If they didn't, they got bullied further.

I knew a girl in elementary school that was bullied because she was dirty. Apparently, she learned how to solve that problem, because by high school she was very popular with the boys. Do you think, back in the sixties, she received sensitivity training? Do you think her bullies did?

Not in the sixties.

I think if we want our children to grow up with an improved self image and be more normal adults, we need to stop coddling them. We need to allow them to stand on their own two feet and fight their own personal demons. And we need to encourage them to buck up and stop being so sensitive.

We had  lot fewer fat kids in our school in those days. We had a lot less dirty kids. We had very few homosexual kids.

As radical as it sounds, I think being bullied was an important factor in straightening up some of these low self esteem issues. It forced the bullied kids to change themselves for the better.

Perhaps we need to give the bullies some leeway. In a sort of backwards way, they have helped make America strong.

The news is out! Barack Hussein Obama is a homo! Newsweek has outed the President.

I think this is hilarious!

I wonder if Obama approves of being known as a Homosexual. Considering his tender sensibilities, he might be offended. I know I would, and I'm not easily offended.

 If I were married to Michele, I'd probably turn gay, too.

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. People who have psychological disorders often manifest several at once, so, along with being a pathological narcissist, and a compulsive liar, and a megalomaniac, we can throw in homosexuality.

I always thought he walked a little funny.

Those late night meetings with Barney Frank take on a whole new meaning, don't they?

Barack's Blunder

Barack Obama's recent announcement of support for the oxymoronic "same sex marriage", in my mind, is a blunder, if he wants to be re-elected.

No doubt he thinks he's pandering to his base with this announcement, but, the fact is, Same sex marriage legislation has been soundly defeated in every state where the matter was voted on by the voters. The only time it has been legalized was when the Constitutional voting process has been bypassed by the courts or by politicians who mistakenly believe the majority of their constituents actually want same sex marriage to be legal.

While some polls would seem to indicate the majority of Americans support same sex marriage, when the legislation comes up for a vote by the voters, it becomes clear they don't. Obama may indeed garner some support from the homosexuals and their supporters, but they are still a minority in this country, and most of them probably voted for him in the last election, anyway. Many of the independents and more Conservative Democrats who voted for him in 2008 could well drop their support for him solely because of this issue.

I don't believe his announced support of gay marriage is going to make a significant difference.

Additionally, the recent Democratic primaries would seem to indicate Obama has lost a lot of support even among the Democrats. In West Virginia's Democratic primary, an imprisoned felon in Texas took 41% of the Democratic votes away from Obama, carrying 10 counties.

 All of this is good news for Republicans, but the election is still far off. There is still plenty of time for Obama's campaign operatives to dig up dirt on Romney, and if they can't find anything serious enough to sully him, they will make something up.

But, he has definitely blundered.

A Lose/Lose Situation For Tebow

A web site is offering a million dollars for proof that Tim Tebow will have pre-marital sex with someone.

 This is a lose-lose situation for the new Jets quarterback, in my opinion.

 Even if he doesn't have pre-marital relations with anyone, there will be plenty of soul-less women who will step up to claim the money, and I'm sure they will manufacture seemingly convincing evidence to support their claim.

Not only that, but women will be coming out of the woodwork looking to entrap Tebow.

 He would be an incredibly intelligent and wise man indeed to avoid the traps that will undoubtedly be set for him.

 In the unlikely event he succumbs to the new found pressure put on him and actually sleeps with someone, he loses.

If he doesn't, some gold digging woman/women will say he did, and he loses anyway. Even if some woman says he did and it is proven that he didn't, the Tebow haters will insist he did anyway, and, his reputation will be ruined.

As I said, Lose/lose.

A Departure From The Norm

I never post blog entries about religious subjects on this blog. I have another blog devoted to matters of faith called "God's Way/My Way", which one can find, should one be interested, on my blogroll. I am no expert in apologetics and found myself way out of my league on that subject, so, I rarely, if ever post anything there.

Let me just say, on that subject, "I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day". And that, as Mr Gump would say, is all I have to say about that.

I believe one's faith is a personal thing. By that I mean, discussing what one believes in a public forum such as a blog can be a risky thing and tends to stir up far more anger and resentment than political discourse.

There are so many widely diversified beliefs these days, that even true Christians often disagree with each other on some things. Thankfully, most of these disagreements are not things that divide us, but serve to strengthen our faith and compels us to go to the Word and divine for ourselves what God's truth is, which I believe is a good thing.

Not that I believe we shouldn't share our faith. I do. But we must be careful that we don't share the "wrong gospel".

 A man whose blog I used to frequent daily is a prime example. I used to like the man and he and I would often get into spirited discussions at both my place and his about both politics and religion. At first, it was fun! They started out as friendly disagreements but later, as he drifted farther and farther to the left, both politically and religiously, the discussions evolved into arguments which became more and more mean spirited until I could no longer bring myself to even visit his blog knowing that he would post some drivel that would absolutely infuriate me. I assume he felt the same about me, as he stopped visiting my blog altogether, too.

For some strange reason, I woke up thinking about him and his blog this morning. I don't know why. He hasn't crossed my mind in well over a year.

The last time I visited his blog, he was seriously contemplating enrolling in Seminary. In my opinion, his religious views are so far away from Biblical, I can't imagine a Seminary that would accept him as a student. There is, in my opinion, nothing Christian about his theology.

And yet, He insists he is a Christian. I can't say he isn't, but it surely seems he may have lost his way.

This is, I acknowledge, an oversimplification, but there is, I believe, but two things God demands from us as Christians:

1. Respect God, and,

2. Share God with others.

The thing that woke me from such a blissful peaceful sleep so abruptly this morning,  and motivated me to type my opinion out on today's blog, is the fact that this man would often call Jesus, "Jebus".

 Maybe I'm just being petty, but I find that disrespectful to Jesus Christ.

Now, this man would most likely defend this by saying Jesus doesn't care what you call Him as long as you worship Him and carry out His commands. Maybe he's right, but, I don't think the moniker either respects God or carries with it the message that we, as Christians, want to convey.

I think, calling Jesus ,"Jebus" would cause some non-believers to think the guy who's trying to witness to them isn't too sincere. Again, The man would defend that by saying what someone believes is his business and he doesn't have the right to impose his belief on others, so it really doesn't matter what the unbelievers think.

But then, that violates the second of God's demands, doesn't it?

How are we expected to share the Gospel if we don't bother to try to convince the unbeliever that he is following the wrong path? Telling an unbeliever "What's right for you may not be right for me and what's right for me may not be what's right for you, so go ahead and do what you want. It's none of my business", is, in my opinion, just plain foolish.

 Anyway, that's what I think. What do you think?

The Coming Race War

Among all the other reasons Obama needs to be defeated in the upcoming Presidential elections, there is another that few are mentioning.

He is a racist.

No, he isn't positing himself before the American public with blatant racial epithets or announcing "open season on Whitey". He is more subtle.

It should come as no surprise to most Conservatives that he is not the uniter he pretends to be, but, I dare say there are many Conservatives who are loathe to hang the insidious label of "racist" on him.

But, look at his history.

Off hand, I can point to the infamous quote from his book, "White man's greed runs a world in need", among other equally racist quotes. That should have been the tip off to even the most stubborn skeptics.

Now there is an increasing number of black-on-white crimes being committed, with the apparent blessing of the "Uniter in Chief".

The more these crimes go unpublicized and unpunished, the stronger and bolder those who perpetrate these crimes grow.

No doubt, they also grow bolder, in large part, because the "Uniter -in-Chief" remains silent.

Now, let's examine the other side of the issue. Wherever there exist a mere hint of a possibility that a white on black crime has been perpetrated, Obama is quick to publicly speak out in condemnation of the "hate crime", even before any guilt has been determined. The Trayvon Martin case is only one of the latest proofs of his obvious racism.

Note the difference between the way he treats white-on-black crimes, as opposed to black-on-white crimes. He expresses outrage at one, and is conspicuously silent on the other.

Obama is giving tacit approval of these escalating black-on-white racist hate crimes by remaining silent and refusing to condemn them.

Just as the now famous open mic incident with the Russian president proves, if he is re-elected, he will drop all pretenses. He will become transparently racist.

It is important for American voters on both sides to recognize the inherent danger of an unrestrained Obama presidency.

He is limited to two terms. He has nothing to lose. He knows the Congress will not institute impeachment proceedings against him. If they attempt to, he has already laid the groundwork to brand any actions against him as "racism". Any criticism of him will enable him to stir up racial animosity in this country further.

Obama garnered 96% of the black vote in the last election, and, in spite of the loss of confidence many of those same voters have in him due to his reckless policies, he will still get a disproportionate percentage of the black vote. Because, as has become obvious, the overall attitude among blacks is, he is "one of them".

All he has to do is continue to keep silent about black-on-white hate crimes, and speak out against perceived white-on-black crimes.

The media is complicit, and will play the race card at the drop of a hat. The Republicans are too afraid to stand up against any charges of racism. That would hurt their chances to be re-elected.

A race war is imminent.

And, if he is re-elected, Obama will be the catalyst.

A Long Night

How do you like that? One week after we move into our new house, our relative domestic tranquility is disrupted by the threat of a series of tornadoes bearing down on us.

I've been through these things before, including a massive F4 category tornado in 1991, now known as the infamous "Andover tornado".


This is the same one I saw, personally. It had weakened quite a bit by the time this video was taken.

I saw that one up close and personal from the door of my office building. I don't remember being as frightened then as I was last night. Since I grew up here in Wichita, I should be somewhat used to these events, but I found last night that I'm not.

On the other hand, my wife is a native of Virginia. She has lived in Fredericksburg Virginia her entire life, from infancy. Tornadoes are an extremely rare occurrence there. I thought she would be scared stiff.

She actually handled it better than I.

At the height of the storm, when the lights went out, she went to bed.

The tornado struck a mobile home park not more than five or six blocks from our new home, destroying, according to the latest reports, about 100 homes. I haven't left for church yet, but there is a strong possibility that I won't be able to leave the area due to downed limbs and power lines. There are reports of damage directly to the south and east of us. The tornado missed us.

As far as we know now, no one was seriously injured.

All in all, it wasn't nearly as bad as predicted. I'm going to resist the temptation to point out that the weather experts can't even accurately predict what the weather is going to do the next day. How are we supposed to put our trust in them when it comes to predicting Global Warming as far as hundreds of years into the future?

Yes, I'm tempted, but I won't say anything this time.

What Is KONY?

I rarely, if ever, watch news on television. I prefer to be entertained by TV. My wife and I are down to one vehicle and she doesn't let me listen to talk radio when we are out driving together. Since I get the majority of my news from the "alternative media", AKA blogs, during my extended absence from the internet, I missed out on a lot of important stories and events.

One day during this time of no internet, I happened to notice a placard inside a car window that read, "KONY 2012". It had a picture of an elephant and a donkey, the symbols of the Republican and Democratic parties, on it blended together into one beast.


I had no idea what it represented, so, once I finally had access to the web, I googled the word, "KONY".

I learned that Joseph Kony is the name of a savage warlord who kidnaps children from their homes in Uganda and forces them to fight in his "army", often killing their parents in the process. Sometimes, he even forces the children to murder their own parents.

He has been doing this for over 20 years.

Some bleeding heart Liberal became aware of this atrocity and decided to try to stop the carnage, and as every good Liberal always does, he decided to mount a campaign to make everyone "aware" of the problem.

Now, with most of these causes, I don't really need a bunch of so-called philanthropic Liberals standing around with their hands outstretched begging me for money simply to make me aware of some terminal disease or health hazard or scams such as the mythical Climate change and other eminent global catastrophes.

After all, I am already well aware there is AIDS, Cancer, bullying, and weather changes, etc.

Being aware of the existence of these things, in my humble opinion, won't make them go away. And donating money to these causes does nothing but line pockets. Especially, as in the case of AIDS, when our society is still actively encouraging the very behaviors that cause AIDS in the first place.

All that said, I actually think the KONY 2012 campaign is a great idea!

Although, I think the posters and bumper stickers could be more informative.

Yes, they do make people more aware. In that regard the campaign did what it was intended to do.

It made me aware.

But, I still think the organizers need to explain their intent better. Until I Googled it, I thought some guy from NY was running for President as an independent.

OK. so now I'm aware that some madman is doing horrific things to children in Uganda.

What do I do now?

The same thing the bleeding heart Liberal that started this whole thing does. Make people aware of the problem. Ostensibly, if enough people are aware of these things that are happening, hopefully, some one with the appropriate weapons and firepower and an army will listen, and be inspired to ferret this guy out and put an end to the madness.

But then, when he's gone, I'm sure some other whacko is standing in the wings waiting to take his turn.

That's just the way it goes in the third world.

I wonder. Are the bleeding heart Liberals aware of that?

Apologia

I apologize for my recent extended absence from this site. My supply of funds interfered with my ability to keep internet service, and so, faced with the choice of blogging or eating, I chose to eat. I'm sorry.

I am typing this from my new home in Wichita, Kansas, which is my hometown. My wife and I moved here and had enough money left over from the sale of our house in Virginia to resume internet service. I hope I can keep up the payments.

Racially Motivated? Not Logical

The first time I heard of the Trayvon Martin case, I was at the library in Fredericksburg, Virginia, catching up on my Facebook friends' statuses.

The first literal mention of the name, "Trayvon Martin" that I ever heard came from a link posted by my Liberal College professor Doctor Nephew. He quoted from something called "Slate":

"How did we get to the place where George Zimmerman could claim that his shooting of a 17-year-old kid armed with nothing more than a bag of skittles was 'self defense?' "

Then, his take on the story followed the same apparent lack of thought: Some self-appointed neighborhood watch guy shot and killed a little black kid apparently simply because the kid was black.

Along with his report, he included a picture of little Trayvon that had been taken when he was 12.

Wow! The kid surely looks innocent in that picture!

Since I wasn't officially back on the internet at the time, I couldn't really expound on my opinion of the tragedy, but, my first thoughts were these:

This story (the way the Liberal press spins it) doesn't make sense.

A man sees a little kid who is merely walking home after buying his little brother a bag of Skittles and decides to gun the kid down with no reason. Other than his skin color.

That's all I heard, and it just doesn't make sense to me.

I try to put myself in his place. At the scene. At the time. I try to think logically about what could have motivated this man to pull out his gun and shoot an innocent kid to death.

I try to imagine that I, as a neighborhood watch captain, notice a kid walking down the street who I don't recognize. I keep an eye on him, because there have been some incidents of criminal activity in the neighborhood recently. Then, seemingly out of the blue, with no forethought, no provocation, other than the kid is black, I decide to pull my gun out and shoot the kid.

Never mind that I undoubtedly know that I will certainly be arrested and jailed for such an unprovoked attack on another human being, and be sentenced to death, or, at the very least, life without parole. Especially since, considering the politically correct climate that exists everywhere (including Florida), a white on black crime is particularly egregious.

Why would I want to risk prison and even death to rid the world of one anonymous black kid?

I wouldn't. I don't see any logic in the charge that Trayvon Martin was shot simply because he was black. There has to be a reason. There has to be more to the story.

It just doesn't make sense.

Now that a few weeks have past and we have learned much more about the circumstances surrounding this incident, we find there is more, much more, to the story.

Since those first few news stories surfaced, we have learned that the kid was acting in a suspicious manner, wandering around at night, in the rain, and, in Zimmermans own words, "looking about". If he was simply walking home with a newly purchased bag of candy in the rain, doesn't reason tells us he would want to walk rapidly and directly home to avoid getting wet as much as possible? Why wasn't he? What else could he have been doing other than simply walking home?

Combine these factors with the fact that Zimmerman was aware of recent criminal activity in the neighborhood.

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain, called 911. Is this the actions of a man who has cold blooded, racially motivated murder on his mind?

Then, we find Mr. Zimmerman was directly confronted by the kid, and suddenly the kid punched Zimmerman in the nose and lept on top of him and proceeded to bash Zimmerman's head into the pavement. If you had a gun and you were suddenly viciously attacked, would you use it to defend yourself?

And we learn that NBC edited the tape of the 911 call to make it appear that the incident was racially motivated. We have also learned the video of Zimmerman arriving at the police station was retouched to hide his injuries, making his story about self defense look suspect.

Now, I suppose it's possible that George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin because he was black, but the facts don't support that theory. Nor does logic.

But, that's not the reason I felt motivated to blog on this thing.

I can't help but wonder why a man with my nephew's obvious superior intellect would leap to such an illogical conclusion without ever once doubting one word of the story first released by the national news media.

Could it be that he wants to believe the worst about people? What does this tell us about his world view? How has this particularly jaded world view evolved to the point that his entire perspective is completely illogical?

Where is the blame to be placed?
