Change in Title

"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." ~ Matthew 7:6

I have changed the title of this blog. The address remains the same, so those of you who click on "4 rows back in the bleacher seats" on your blogroll to get here will still get here that way. The reason for the change is because I seem to get more commentators who are Liberals than Conservatives here, and no matter how logical the point, they won't agree. Hence, this new title is more appropriate.

Not that I think Liberals are swine. Many aren't. It's just an expression.

Huh! I have the same problem...

Great title.

Oh, yeah. Me, too.

Oh, and I don't know about callin' it "pearls." Even I don't think that highly of myself.

Maybe: "Chewed-over Corn Cobs, Rotten Eggs and Table Scraps Before Swine." Hoo hoo. :-)

Don't sell yourself short, ER. If course you think that highly of yourself. :)

Seriously, though, the word, "pearls", in this case, is no more literal than the word, "swine".

Noted. And I have no problem taking it literally. Other possible titles could be "None so Deaf as Those Who Will Not Hear" and "None So Blind as Those Who Will Not See." "Rainbow for the Colorblind" also comes to mind. Or "Music for the Tonedeaf." And then there is "Truth for the Truthiness." I could do this all night.

I was with you on your explaination, until you backed off and said Libs aren't swine:)

As far as comments go, I've wondered about Conservative vs. Liberal comments.......I come here every day (couple times), yet rarely comment. Same goes as the other 12 or so Conservative sites I hit.

I go to see what others are saying, and choose to put the majority of my comments on my blog....Which takes more than enough of my time........Maybe if I'd give up one of the four it wouldn't be such a problem, but I just can't separate myself from any of them.

All you people are aware that "Casting Pearls before Swine" is from the Bible, don't you?

Matthew 7:6, to be exact.

Stick with 4 Rows Back, it fits you better. That is meant as a compliment.

Mark,
I think you need to change the name... really... I know you don't mean it as an insult, but some will take it that way because your explanation will be lost...

How about "oreo cookies before cuddly puppies..." OK, that won't work, but you get the idea...
