Are You Kidding Me?

"You have all the characteristics of a popular politician: a horrible voice, bad breeding, and a vulgar manner." ~ Aristophanes

Here is yet another of those quizzes that supposedly match you and your ideology with those of the current Presidential candidates. It was created by Minnesota Public Radio, so one would think the questions are Liberally biased, but aside from the question on enviromental policies, it is pretty straight. At least I think so.

How did you do? And how fair are the questions, in your opinion?

The questions might be balanced, but the results certainly won't. I wrote a game like that where the only outcome you could possibly get, no matter how you answered the questions was to be confined to the snot mines of the planet Grarbel (I was young). the one flaw in this questionnaire is that they confine the results to the candidates, and at this point, all of them are terrible.

My results game up with Mitt first and McCain second. I feel th questions were fair and balanced, but I have other questions concerning the constitutionality of many of the federal laws, that I feel are important and I would like to hear the candidates respond to, but nobody in the MSM will ask those questions.

Interesting. I looked back over my results and I notice all the candidates disagre with me on immigration. This could be because there is not just a yes or no answer to that particulart question.

I believe we need to build a fence, deport as many illegal aliens as we can find, punish companies that hire illegal aliens, and outlaw the law that makes all babies born in the United States American Citizens.

Illegal immigratioin is not just a problem because of strain on the American economic and judicial systems, but also, and more importantly, it is a security issue. The porous borders are possible conduits for terrorists. If that was the only reason for reforming immigration laws, it would be the enough of a reason.

Illegal immigration is probably the most serious threat to our country. If not, it is at least a close second.

Park, Cindy Sheehan, among many other libs, has called the terrorists "freedom fighters".

Surely you agree that she isn't a Conservative, or even Republican.

Reagan called the Afghani's Freedom fighters, and most of the Afghani's are America's allies. The Taliban are terrorists, but they make up a small percentage of the citizens of Afghanistan. And not all Taliban are Afghani's.

Ronald Reagan called Afghani's that resisted the Soviet Union's offensive to take over Afghanistan "freedom Fighters".

Cindy Sheehan calls terrorists who actively seek to destroy all freedom loving people in all nations "freedom fighters". I would hope that even a raving Lib such as yourself can tell the difference.

Mark, with all due respect, if you agree most closely with John McCain, you really need to examine your positions on a lot of issues.

Or re-examine your party affilliation...

I have a new post tinight, by the way. (At long last...)

I would appreciate your thoughts...

Tug, that's why the Title to this post is, "Are you kidding me?"

I don't see how I could have matched up with McCain. From what I thought I knew about him, we don't agree on that much.

Did you take the quiz yourself? It took me by surprise. I know he and I don't agree on taxes for instance, but the quiz says we do.

Maybe it has to do with the Liubs who created the quiz.

Mine came up exactly even with Romney and McCain.

What does that mean?......

tugboatcapn said...

I took the quiz.

It said that I agreed with McCain as well. (Second was Ron Paul.)

You see, the thing is this...

McCain always runs to the Right, and then governs from the Left.

Are the positions that the quiz is going by the positions that McCain claims to take during his presidential campaign, or are they what he will actually act upon if given the white House?

Do you believe that McCain would stand up to the Democrats when it comes to things like Timetables for withdrawal in Iraq, or would he commission Ted Kennedy to write the "Iraq Withdrawal Bill", and then sign whatever he submits?

Do you believe that a President McCain would oppose the Socialization of the Medical System, or would he put Senator Hillary Clinton in charge of it, and then rubber-stamp whatever she sends him?

John McCain claims to be a Conservative.

But I have been watching him for years, and his record is a long one of opposing his Party, (MY Party!), kissing the feet of Democrats, and basically working behind Republican lines as an agent of our political enemies.

He does not deserve the support of one single Republican voter.

My closest, according to this poll, was Gravel, with only 43% agreement.

McCain was down about 14% and Romney was 1%.

Where was Huckabee?

Trader Rick said...

I had McCain at 53%, then Romney at 40%. Both Obama and Clinton at 3% and that due to the fact they must agree with the death penalty. Darn! wish I had answered that one differently!! The results get really skewed by your judgement of their relative value...

Geez, according to this quiz, I'm certifibly nuts. I scored 49 agreement with McCain and I don't trust him at all. I also scored 46 with Paul. The third place finish was Romney at 31. Last was Hillary at 9.
