Politics Explained
One of the comments:
Water represents "the law". Banana represents God-given rights to pursue happiness, or your natural rights if you're atheist. These are rights you're born with, not "granted by government". We instituted our government (the constitution) to PROTECT our INDIVIDUAL rights - not "democratic rights" (majority rule). We're the monkeys. Evil men & women have turned it upside down and we've allowed it. Now, like the monkeys, we have been trained to think government is our master. Protest & get hosed.
Yep.

So why do you rail on and on about the ACLU? Why do have a problem with courts overturning legislation which infringes upon the rights of individuals protected from "majority rule"?
Ignore the anonymous troll, Mark. He's using a stupid trick that charlatans like so well: He proposes to speak for you, then shoots down the position he attributes to you. Shame on him!!
Linked at Infidel Bloggers Alliance.
This monkey analogy is good but I feel like it's more a media/Republican thing. The Obama folks are upset at a Republican sending an email with Obama as an ape....demanding apologies, etc. But, as you saw at my place(and thanks for commenting there), it couldn't go unmentioned that Bush was portrayed as a monkey CONSTANTLY by the left which needed no apology.
Is it a race thing? WHY? I thought we're all equal...we should be treated that way, too...even thin skinned presidents.
ALL of that portrayal is WRONG on either side of the aisle....but only one side has water thrown at them to SIT DOWN, SHUT UP and do NOT TRY IT AGAIN.
You have shamed me indeed, Dick.
Not.
"Jim said...
You have shamed me indeed..."
A reply that doesn't respond to the argument implies aquiescence...
Jim, your comment on this post show that you have no position on any issue except whatever is opposite of what you think I think. I indicated agreement with part of someone else's comment, and you cherry-picked one statement from the comment and used it to present an argument.
You may be a Liberal, but you are more of a contrarian.
Not to be contrarian, Mark, but I disagree. I have on occasion agreed with you. But we have very different political philosophies, so that doesn't happen often.
Why is it a problem to make a single point on a single issue? Is it required that I reply at length on every post?
And why rag on me for my responses and not on the Dick for his continual attempts to de-legitimize me as a troll and anonymous.
"A reply that doesn't respond to the argument implies aquiescence"
Dick, you've left out the part that said "Not."
The anonymous "jim" is a goofy troll.
Here's a puzzling situation, and you find it on many message boards, as well:
Why do some trolls, who are utterly defeated continually, every time, by logical answers to their lame sputterings, and universally ragged on by other contributors, keep coming back for more abuse???
I can see it if they were winning arguments or making points, but that's certainly not the case with the anonymous 'jim".
He's wasting his time here, because he will never change any minds with his silly drivel, and we certainly cannot pick apart the impenetrable wall of nonsense that imprisons his feeble brain that has been constructed for him by his Leftist transmogrifiers....
Looks like the Dick found a random word generating program. Hey Dick, can you post the URL for us?
Bing! You're transmogrified! You're a slmey green toady!
transmogrification n : the act of changing into a different form or appearance (especially a fantastic or grotesque one)
I learned that word from a Donald Duck story in a 50's/60's issue of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories--I wish I knew which issue, so I could re-read it online. Donald and the nephews got hold of a ray-gun that they used for transmogrification...
