Talk Talk Talk

"We have too many high sounding words, and too few actions that correspond with them." ~ Abigail Adams

When the riots began in Egypt, somebody predicted that all the citizens in the Middle Eastern Islamic countries would start to revolt. I don't remember who. But we are now seeing that happen, as one by one, oppressed people in these countries are attempting to throw off the shackles of despotism and agitating for their freedom.

The latest is Libya.

I also made a prediction, back when Barack Hussein Obama was running for President. I wrote a blogpost about it. I said America has little to worry about because a president Obama administration would be one of much talk, little action. I can't find it in my archives. It probably has some ambiguous title that doesn't indicate the subject matter.

As it happens, I was not entirely correct.

For the first two years of Obama's presidency, he worked tirelessly to bring about a totally different type of government, unlike any previous government, anywhere in the world. Part Islamic, part Socialist, and part dictatorship. For the most part (thankfully), Obama was ineffective in achieving his goals, but one thing he did accomplish was the monstrosity known to Conservatives as Obamacare.

In spite of the fact that a judge has ruled Obamacare unconstitutional, Obama is steadfastly ignoring that ruling and is still actively engaged in pushing it forward, as if the judgment didn't even exist.

But, I was mostly correct in my assessment.

As we have seen during these latest crises, Obama's response to them is delayed, when he responds at all. He does, however, talk about them.

While Egypt was burning, and, as Obama lined up his putt, he casually mentioned Mubarak should step down.

As more and more third world republics erupted in chaos, Obama appeared on ESPN and filled out his NCAA brackets, and then, expressed his desire for peace in the middle east.

It is pretty simple to identify which leaders are anti-American. They are the ones who Obama supports.

Japan suffers the worst earthquake and tsunami in recorded history and Obama goes to Rio and offers his condolences.

The Congress cannot come to an agreement regarding the nation's budget, and Obama again, goes golfing. But, to his credit, he speaks eloquently.

The deficit is trillions of dollars in the red and Obama plays basketball. And, defends his position in glowing rhetoric.

I recently went back and re-read some of my own blogposts from the past. In one of them, which I entitled "Politicizing Disaster", I pointed out that many Liberals were complaining about George W Bush's tardiness in responding to Hurricane Katrina. This, apparently, was an indictment of Bush's racist policies and incompetence.

These same Liberals are strangely silent on Obama's lack of action in responding to world crises.

One gets the impression that if Hurricane Katrina had happened on Obama's watch, those poor people might still be living in the Superdome.

But, at least we'd know how he feels.

One of Obama's character flaws is that he lacks empathy. Even liberal columnist Richard Cohen of the Washington Post has pointed out that character flaw.

Those with lack of empathy show a disconnect. Obama clearly shows a disconnect and apparently thinks that the mention of something is all that he needs to say.

What a ridiculous post!

"He worked tirelessly to bring about a totally different type of government, unlike any previous government, anywhere in the world. Part Islamic, part Socialist, and part dictatorship."

What a pile of baloney! Part Islamic? Which part would that be? Has the president established Sharia law by fiat? Socialist? What part of the government is "Socialist"? Dictatorship? Has Obama passed any laws that the duly elected Congress has not passed?

"Obama was ineffective in achieving his goals"

Really? He has achieved more legislative progress than most presidents in a full term. Maybe the fact that none of these achievements has been effective in bringing about what you fantasize his goals are means those aren't actually his goals.

"In spite of the fact that a judge has ruled Obamacare unconstitutional, Obama is steadfastly ignoring that ruling and is still actively engaged in pushing it forward, as if the judgment didn't even exist."

One judge has ruled it unconstitutional. Many others have not. The one who did has so far stayed any injunction against carrying out the law.

"Japan suffers the worst earthquake and tsunami in recorded history and Obama goes to Rio and offers his condolences."

You expect him to go to Japan and direct traffic? This is a joke. You guys used to claim that Bush could carry out the full duties of his presidency from the "ranch" in Texas. You think Obama can't walk and chew gum at the same time? (Don't answer that. I know what you think.)

"These same Liberals are strangely silent on Obama's lack of action in responding to world crises."

This fantasy "lack of action" is, well, fantasy.

I don't know why I keep thinking of Blazing Saddles.

You're right, Jim. I was merely expressing my thoughts about what kind of government Obama is trying to recreate. It is ridiculous, after all, to express my own opinion on my own blog.

All I know is Obama is a Marxist/Socialist, so it is perfectly natural to assume he is trying to turn this government into a Socialist state. Also, we know he is unreasonably sympathetic to Islam, especially our Islamic enemies, so it is also natural to assume he wants to implement Islamic policies here. And the very fact that he is ignoring a judges ruling on healthcare, and did not seek Congressional approval for his invasion of Libya, etc, indicates he is more likely to install a dictatorship in America then keep a Constitutional republic.

See, it doesn't take a committee of judges to rule Obamacare unconstitutional. It only takes one. Unless his decision is overturned by a higher court, his ruling stands, and Obama has shown no inclination to appeal the decision. Instead, he ignores it, probably hoping the problem just goes away.

Why? Because he is much talk, little action, which is the whole point of the post.

It's funny. you Libs complained that Bush didn't take action fast enough in the wake of Katrina, yet you give Obama a pass for doing absolutely nothing in the wake of several crises both at home and abroad.

Can you spell hypocrisy?
