On The Road

"Travel only with thy equals or thy betters; if there are none, travel alone". ~ The Dhammapada

I'm leaving today for Wichita, Kansas to visit my kids, grandkids, siblings, and mother. We are going by car.

I know many of you will want me to stop by for dinner or coffee, but the way the trip is planned, I probably won't be close to anyone except perhaps Dan Trabue (going through Louisville), but I doubt he wants me to stop and converse. Anyway, we won't have time.

I doubt I'll have any time or place to blog at least until after we arrive in Wichita. My mother has a computer but I don't think she has high speed.

Oh, come on Mark! You can't at least stop by Bladenboro?

Good luck paying for all that gasoline!

Don't you realize you're killing the planet by driving!?

Have a good trip.

Stop by here, and we'll throw a bonfire for you. Longnecks and Shrimp cocktails under a starry starry Indiana Sky.

Take a few days off from politics and the demons and enjoy driving the USA, in your Chevrolet!!

Hey, my comment appeared instantly! Does that mean I can say anything I want? OK, here goes:

Obama has convinced me: I'm scared of him because he looks different than George Washington, and he has a funny name. I've heard this enough so that now I believe it and have decide not to vote for him.

I'll just keep clinging to my Bible and my SKS (with 30 round clip)because I'm frustrated about high gas prices...

No Trader,
It's the ears, the big, dumbo ears! That is what scares me about Obama!

Mark,
Have a great trip and realize that as you drive, you are only increasing your carbon foot print to a tiny fraction the size of Algore's!
Blessings

Awwww....that would have been a classic meeting! Too bad. I would have loved to have heard that you two met, shook hands, and broke bread together.

I'm sure, outside of politics, you two would have gotten along just fine, like two civilized gentlemen.

Can't you just click the heels of your ruby slippers?

You are always more than welcome to stop by my humble abode in Louisville, Mark. Come by on a Sunday and you could go to church with me.

Come by THIS saturday and you could have the rare privilege of attending an Urban Goatwalker night at Jeff Street! Always a thrill.

And, of course, this coming Sunday is Peace Sunday and you'd be more than welcome to sit in and join us in praying for peace. Something we all can agree upon, I'm sure.

I wanted to go to church with my mother but didn't arrive until late Sunday night.

We will go to Wednesday night prayer meeting with her, and then after that, visit with my brother, who is a deacon in the church.

B. Hussein's birthday? One would think, by this time he would have developed some wisdom.

Actually Tug, the last birthday he celebrated was his 75th. It is the 79th anniversary of his birth. And unless you can be heard in the lower regions of Hell, any wishes you extend will fall on dead ears.

Besides, he is probably too busy with his 75 virgins...

Why? I don't know the guy. What is his claim to fame? What has he done in life?

Sorry, I'll pass.

It's 76 virgins. And the way I figure, they are really, really ugly... seeing as they are still virgins!

Mark –

Hope you enjoy your time off; I just got back from vacation myself.

I have to say I LOVE your “Autorantic Virtual Moonbat” – it’s downright hilarious, would be even funnier if it weren’t so eerily realistic!!!

POWER TO THE OTTERS!
