Let's Go South

"When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable." ~Clifton Fadiman

I received this in an e-mail recently. I don't believe I can add anything to it:

If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, TRY THIS:

Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, International law, or any of that nonsense.

Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family.

Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.

Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc.

Procreate abundantly.

Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behavior with, "It is a cultural USA thing. You would not understand, pal."

Keep your American identity strong. Fly Old Glory from your rooftop, or proudly display it in your front window or on your car bumper.

Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children do likewise.

Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system.

Demand a local Mexican driver license. This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal presence in Mexico.

Drive around with no liability insurance and ignore local traffic laws.

Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.

Good luck! You'll be demanding for the rest of time or until you’re dead, which will probably be sooner than you think.

Because it will never happen. It will not happen in Mexico or any other country in the world except right here in the United States, Land of the naive and stupid, idiotic, politically correct politicians.

Actually, I do have something to say about this: I traveled to Mexico once. It was a trip I won as a prize in an incentive contest at the company where I worked at the time. The general manager of my office and his wife were not allowed to enter the country because his wife had written a note to herself on the back of her passport. They had to fly all the way back to Kansas City and go through a day's worth of red tape in order to join us.

Why, with the resources that America has, far superior to every other country in the world, can't we stop illegal immigration?

As you say, with all the resources at its command, America can stop illegal immigration any time it really sets its mind to it. The problem, I think, is that you don't want to stop illegal immigration enough - otherwise you would have already.

Sadly, I think that may be exactly correct.

It's a convoluted mess.

One of the 12 different books I'm reading right now, is Victor Davis Hanson's Mexifornia. It's worth checking out, if you haven't.

See, the thing is Mexico doesn't want to allow people in who are stupid enough to write on their passports. And a passport has only been required to enter Mexico since 9/11. You can also enter with an original birth certificate and a photo ID. But you shouldn't use those for note paper either.

Congress & the Bush Administration are a disgrace. The border is wide open not only to the Mexican & other illegal hordes, but to terrorists. The Dems want the Hispanic vote, so do the Republicans. Business wants the cheap, off the books, labor, as do the person who wants a cheap nanny or grasscutter.

The US government can do something about illegal immigration. Just enforce existing laws on the books. But it chooses not to. Our next 911 will come through the wide open southern border.

What country in its right mind apprehends over 100,000 illegals a year from countries other than Mexico, gives them a court date to return, then releases them into the country, unaccounted for. 98% fail to show for court. Ya think?!
Screw this government.

My blog about illegals, by the way, if your interested. It's called BorderWatch: brokenborders.blogspot.com

I got into Mexico with my birth certificate. I don't even have a passport. I didn't need one. Apparently the Mexicans don't need one to get into America.

Answer to WHY??

Republicans want to please business with cheap labor.....And are afraid the Latino voter will turn on them 100%

Democrats want to increase their voter rolls.....Legal or illegal.

Both say "screw the American people", and both are doing just that.

I've said it a million times, and am sure it will hold true: Whichever party truly takes on the problem (not with lip service, but with real action) will be the dominant party of the 21st Century.

Controlling the border is the #1 National Security issue.......And National Security is the #1 American issue.

Sadly, I don't see either party grabbing the issue any time soon, and simply see a shell-game from both sides until they are FORCED to take it on.

I love the post. I agree with many here that the US government does nothing about the border and they do not want to. I also agree that whomever does take this on will win the day...I do see some politicians testing the waters slowly...I think it will be the Right who will take this on...especially if they get kicked in 06 and 08.

The Left has to keep minorities happy...whites are moving more and more to the Right.
