Vote Early, Vote Often

"It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument." ~ William G. McAdoo

These are the kinds of people organizations such as ACORN are registering to vote:

Here's an idea!

Since Obama's supporters believe absolutely everything he says, let's spread the word that Obama says election day is Wednesday, November 5th.

Update:

Sorry folks, because of an annoying Liberal troll, who visits here just because he wants to argue, I have been forced to re-enable comment moderation. It isn't just his long, incomprehensible and illogical off-topic rants, but some of my preferred readers don't visit here to argue, and he drives them away. If your comment doesn't appear for several hours, thank Feodor.

I'm glad you posted that first video too, Mark. As for the second one, I agree that people who don't have a clue as to what they're doing ought not to vote. Good grief!

It's pretty easy to tell that not much is being taught in our schools, isn't it? To tell you the truth, I'm amazed there were actually two people at the concert who could answer the question correctly.

There are many times I want to agree with the sentiment that some people are too stupid to vote:

"He's not... he's not... he's... he's an Arab!"

"He's a Muslim."

"He pals around with terrorists." (In this case, the speaker should be disqualified from running for VP)

"They may be perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history and may be destroying the fabric of democracy." (This would disqualify the speaker from running for P)

"He's a Marxist. He's Saul Alinsky," (This would be you, Mark)

But... the denial of the right to vote is the first characteristic fantasy of totalitarianism, and the first joke of those who anticipate losing their side of -- a very wishful -- argument.

Mark said...

Feodor,

(sigh)

No one said we want to deny anyone the right to vote. Gayle and I simply agree that some people shouldn't vote. They still have the roght to choose whether they vote or not. We just think the Country would be better off if they chose not to vote.

As far as your other Daily Kos, DU, Huffington Post generated talking points--

""He's not... he's not... he's... he's an Arab!" and, "He's a Muslim." are opinions. These people who say he's a Muslim or an Arab may be wrong, but at least their opinions are based on the fact that they are paying attention. You cannot say that about the Obama supporters in the two videos. They obviously are oblivious to anything outside of where their next beer is coming from.

As to your other copy and paste jobs:

"He pals around with terrorists." (In this case, the speaker should be disqualified from running for VP)

"They may be perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history and may be destroying the fabric of democracy." (This would disqualify the speaker from running for P)

"He's a Marxist. He's Saul Alinsky," (This would be you, Mark)

These are facts. Obama indeed does pal around with terrorists. I don't really have to remind you of William Ayers' or his wife's claim to fame to I?

ACORN is perpertrating voter fraud. That's not a lie, either. Perhaps if they were registering dead people to vote Republican you'd be able to recognise it.

He IS a Marxist. He and his wife Michelle both have been recorded quoting Saul Alinsky and Marx in their speeches, or have you not been paying attention"

Your own comment is absolute proof that some people should not vote. You are a perfect example of one who's too ignorant.

Feodor said...

Mark,

(Laughter)

Did I say you wanted to refuse the vote? I said totalitarians do. Are you a totalitarian? I do say you are joking about it. And you see the conclusion I draw about that.

(Now a sigh)

We've been over this. "Pal around" cannot mean the board meetings Obama had for The Annenberg Foundation with various Republicans, others, and Mr. Ayers with the subject being funding for and policy of education.

Given your categorization, Jesus is damned for eating with tax collectors and prostitutes.

[Did the American people get an apology from Mr. McCain for secretly meeting with four other Senators and a shifty head of an S&L to talk about protecting assets and asses while wasting people's retirement? It was Enron before Enron and Mr. McCain was squarely in the middle of it.]

Calling Senator Obama a Muslim or an Arab or a terrorist in the way that he is called such is nothing like an opinion. It is grasping at something in qn attempt to damn him in a vague, nonrational way to create effect.

This is stupid in poor souls trying to help their candidate at a rally,

It is vile from Ms. Palin.

Your facts are figments and your repetition of them is lazy and destructive thinking... in your own life.

ACORN needs to implement better temp hiring policies and should either respect their presentation as non-partisan or give it up. This is the worst they are culpable of.

Mr. McCain is not stupid for the hyperbole. He is stupid for sacrificing his reputation to the campaign's handlers.

Mark, I wonder whether feodor is aware that "the first characteristic fantasy of totalitarianism" makes no sense at all. It's not a coherent thought.

Let's tell him that BO said to be sure to vote Wednesday, November 5th.

Joe,

That steel trap mind of yours really latches on to the arguments presented, doesn't it?

Lone Ranger said...

Hey, Joe, you just became a plumber. feodor is attacking the messenger rather than the message. It's in their DNA. Liberals can't help themselves.

Feodor said...

Lone Ranger,

You are damning Joe's statement by proxy. How does what you wrote not apply to his comment?

Did he engage with the message at all?

Lone Ranger said...

Are you here just to argue with people?

Mark said...

LR, yes, he just likes to argue, like Dan Trabue. Perhaps they are one and the same.

I apologize to you, LR.

I know you hate people who troll blogs just to argue. I took comment moderation off because I haven't had the time to monitor my e-mail lately, but it looks as if Feodor is going to force me to restore it. Don't stop visiting because of the likes of him. I welcome your input above all others.

Gayle said...

I don't like to argue either, Mark, although as of late I've been getting much better at it!

Sorry about your troll. It's exactly why I keep comment moderation enabled. My readers understand when their comments are left in limbo for awhile, but I've had it enabled for so long they're used to it.

I don't understand the trolls who waste their time on conservative blogs. I don't visit their websites except occasionally just to see what they are up to, but I never leave comments on their sites because I don't want my name associated in any way with some of the filth I see in some of their comment threads. Such absolute hatred and venom for people who disagree with them politically is disgusting. The way they attacked Sarah Palin is so over-the-top that it's almost beyond belief, and they attempt to make Joe's life miserable just to take the focus off of Obama's revealing answer to Joe.

The tactics used by liberals reaveal them to not be for the people as they claim to be. They are only for the people who agree with them on every issue. If you don't agree with them they will try to crucify you politically and hound you to death, which absolutely shows which party is totalitarian!

I think anyone who wants to vote ought to have to pass a test either written or verbal (in the case of those who can't read or write) on the basic fundamentals of our government and how it operates. If naturalized citizens have to do so, we should all have to do so.

here's an example.

Uh Oh:

By Evan Halper, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer

SACRAMENTO -- The owner of a firm that the California Republican Party hired to register tens of thousands of voters this year was arrested in Ontario late last night on suspicion of voter registration fraud.

State and local investigators allege that Mark Jacoby fraudulently registered himself to vote at a childhood California address where he no longer lives so he would appear to meet the legal requirement that signature gatherers be eligible to vote in California.

Jacoby's arrest by state investigators and the Ontario Police Department comes after dozens of voters said they were duped into registering as Republicans by his firm, Young Political Majors, or YPM. The voters said YPM tricked them by saying they were signing a petition to toughen penalties against child molesters. The firm was paid $7 to $12 for every Californian it registered as a member of the GOP.

Mark said...

Anon, So, I suppose you are trying to say that since Obama's campaign does it, it's ok if some Republicans that aren't affiliated with McCain's campaign does?

I disagree. I think it's wrong no matter what side does it.

Of course, the only differences are that ACORN is doing it all over the United States, not just in one state, and Obama is directly linked to ACORN, which you cannot say about the California people and McCain.

No, I was just saying "uh oh."

Feodor=Dan Trabue?

They are not the same. Dan employs circular logic, Feodor employs high-jabberwocky.

Of course registration fraud is wrong regardless of who perpetrates it. It is important to note that ACORN has not committed registration fraud. It has reported that some of its workers have, and has fired them.

This "voter fraud" BS will have run its course very soon. The media is catching on that it is nonsense, and that there is no evidence whatsoever that ACORN is committing registration fraud, much less voter fraud.

They are beginning to understand that this is all about trying to de-legitimize Obama's election if he is successful. If he wins, you all will spend the next 4 years complaining that he stole the election.

The irony is killing me!

Dan Trabue said...

You have any evidence of this or is it just a wild claim based on political biases?

It would seem to be mostly the latter.

Mark said...

Dan, Obama's ties to ACORN are well documented, And there is wide spread voter registration fraud perpetrated by employees of ACORN all over.

I wrote a previous post outlining Obama's ties to ACORN. I know you read it.

Do you question the facts because you know something no one else does, or do you question them because of political bias? I suspect the latter.

Mark said...

"...there is no evidence whatsoever that ACORN is committing registration fraud, much less voter fraud"

Congratulations! This has got to be the most incredible, ridiculous, and stupid statement of the year!

It's no wonder you comment anonymously. It must be very embarrassing to be you.

Mark said...

"Gives me chills...of joy to move forward again as a nation."

Kind of like that tingly feeling Chris Matthews on Screwball gets, eh?

Since when is Marxism defined as "moving forward"? Hate to have to be the one to tell you this, but Marxism isn't a new concept. It's been tried since the times of feudalism, and has never worked.

Yes, Obama has worked with ACORN in the past. Do you have any substantive information linking Obama's work in ACORN to anything illegal or unethical?

I will assume that is a NO, unless you provide some evidence.

Yes, there have been SOME accusations of SOME ACORN employees misbehaving. As has been noted, I believe ACORN reported this themselves and fired the employees.

"Widespread"? That is what I'm questioning. I don't believe there have been any arrests made, any charges filed as of yet. Feel free to supply evidence of your accusation.

If you have no evidence that Obama's work with ACORN was unethical or illegal and if you have no evidence that there is widespread voter fraud happening, then perhaps you'd be wise to say something like, "It LOOKS like there may be illegal or unethical behavior happening by SOME ACORN employees...", that would allow you to remain in the realm of supportable statements.

If you just wish to rehash rumors and innuendo - convict people without a trial, then that's your call, but I'd suggest it's not an especially American or Christian position to take.

"Congratulations! This has got to be the most incredible, ridiculous, and stupid statement of the year!"

the fact that you would write this demonstrates your total lack of command of the issue.

There is plenty of evidence that people working for ACORN turned in fraudulent registrations. There is also plenty of evidence that ACORN legally must turn in EVERY one of these registrations to the registrar of voters. There is plenty of evidence that ACORN has separated registrations it believes are fraudulent and pointed them out to the registrars. There is plenty of evidence that ACORN is doing everything legally and ethically. There is plenty of evidence that Obama's association with ACORN is not secret, was supported by the Department of Justice, and was completely legal and ethical.

There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to the contrary.

You lose!

Mark said...

Dan, it's funny how you are so quick to believe allegations against candidates you don't support, and how you absolutely refuse to give any credibility to allegations against your candidates. Do I detect some disengenouousness on your part?

I do believe I do.

Mark said...

"There is plenty of evidence that ACORN has separated registrations it believes are fraudulent and pointed them out to the registrars."

This is not true. The Voter registrars separated the fraudulant from the valid. Not ACORN. ACORN has been silent on the issue. They neither confirm or deny their employees acted independently form them. In some instances, they had to put the invalid registrations aside so they could handle the legitimate ones.

Dan Trabue said...

it's funny how you are so quick to believe allegations against candidates you don't support, and how you absolutely refuse to give any credibility to allegations against your candidates.

So, is that a NO? You DON'T have any evidence to support these allegations? You have not ONE piece of hard evidence that Obama has done anything unethical or illegal?

Then, do you mind if we don't believe what you THINK may be happening and wait for the evidence of what actually happened?

Mark said...

Danny boy,

Apparently, you haven't been watching credible news. I have pointed out on a previous post
, that Obama isn't specifically linked directly to ACORN outside of the fact that he trained their employees and represented them as an attorney, and gae them $800,000.00.

But other than that, of course, the evidence is just circumstantial, but if he wasn't a Democrat running for President, it would be enough to indict him in a criminal court of law. Maybe not enough to convict, but then, as any Democrat will tell you, an indictment is the same as a conviction. At least as long as the indicted one is a Republican.

Dan, apparently you didn't get the memo.I won't accept comments from those who are just commenting to argue. This blog is a forum for my opinion. It is not a forum for debate.

You are free to make comments, but I draw the line when the comment is intended solely to start an argument.

I have stated my case and answered your question. Move along now.
