Questions With Obvious Answers

"...I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character" ~ Martin Luther King

Up until now, I've been giving Barack Hussein Obama the benefit of the doubt when it comes to how closely he agrees with the pastor of his church, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. I had, and still have questions about whether B. Hussein even knows much about his "spiritual advisor".

Like: How often does Barry Hussein actually attend this church? How long has he attended this church? How much of what Rev. Wright says does Hussein agree? How much influence does Rev. Wright have over what Mr. B. Hussein Obama himself believes?

I don't know how many of his beliefs B. Hussein got from his pastor, and I won't make the supposition that he indeed goes along with everything Rev Wright preaches, and I won't automatically assume his pastor is a hateful, bigoted, racist, nor that B. Hussein Obama shares these extremist anti-American, anti-white views. I'll let Rev. Jeremiah Wright speak for himself, and, by Obama's refusal to distance himself from Rev Wright, vicariously, for Barack Hussein Obama:

Then, I discovered this:

Now, I have additional questions about Mr. Barack Hussein Obama:

Does Obama share his pastors views? If not, why is he still a member of this racist, hate-mongering, anti-semitic, anti-white, anti-American congregation? If so, is he the kind of man we want as President of the United States?

If Obama and Jeremiah Wright are "poor black men" what, pray tell, is the definition of a rich black man?

Yesterday, I heard on the radio that Obama went to the most expensive private school in Hawaii when he was a child, He attended Columbia University and Harvard Law School, neither of which are affordable to a "poor black man". His wife, Michelle attended Princeton and makes a reported $300,000+ a year as an attorney in her own right. So once again, Exactly how poor is poor Obama? For that matter, how poor is the pastor of a church with a membership of 8,ooo?

I made five figures (That's somewhat less than $100,000)last year. What is the criteria for determining who is a "rich white man" in comparison with "poor black man" millionaire Obama and his Millionaire Pastor?

More questions:

When did Jesus, who was an Israeli Jew, become black? Where in the Gospels do they say Jesus was black? Where, for that matter, does it say Jesus was poor? How does Rev. Wright's rhetoric, when he said, "He taught me, Jesus did, how to love my enemies. Jesus taught me how to love the hell outta my enemies! And not be reduced to their level of hatred, bigotry, and smallmindedness", square with his message of hate, bigotry, and smallmindedness?

Does this mean only blacks can be discriminated against? Or does it mean it's acceptable to spew racist hate speech as long as it is being directed to whites only?

Does this mean Barack Hussein Obama is a racist? Or does he simply turn his head when he encounters racism against anyone but black men? If so, why?

And yet more questions:

Why hasn't Obama condemned his racist pastor and his extreme hate-filled racist rants? Why does Obama say his church is "not particularly controversial"? Does he actually believe his church's pastor wouldn't have been locked up in prison for hate crimes if the aforementioned pastor were white?

Remember, all that is necessary for whites to be arrested and tried for hate crimes is to hang ropes tied into nooses from trees on college campuses. Ropes don't scream hatred for other races from lofty pulpits, do they? Why is Reverend Wright not languishing in Cook County Jail right now for advocating and supporting racism?

More questions:

If Barack Hussein Obama becomes President of the United States of America, will he work actively to make blacks the ruling class in America? Will he attempt to relegate the white people in America to the figurative "back of the bus"?

If B.Hussein believes and agrees with the hateful rhetoric espoused by his pastor, will he make peace with Islamic Jihadists by throwing white Christians and Jews to the Islamic lions?

Are Democrats who support Barack Hussein Obama stupid, ignorant, or anti-American, or are they just so consumed by "white guilt" that will they ignore the possibility that Obama and his pastor hate white people? If he becomes President will he work to exterminate white people? Will white Democrat supporters of B. Hussein Obama die defending him?

It could be that the conclusion to be drawn by the answers to these questions, depending on what the answers are, is this:

Barack Hussein Obama doesn't represent America. He represents hate, racism, and bigotry.

Yeah. That's the plan.

I went to the "Subvert America and Make Us a Communist Nation that Supports Terrorists and Oppresses Good White Folk" meeting the other night and those were items 2 and 3 on the agenda.

From CNN:

Obama and Wright have long been close. Obama has been a member of Wright's church since his days in law school, and Obama's bestselling book, The Audacity of Hope, takes its title from one of Wright's sermons. Wright also married the Obamas and baptized their two children.

But Obama has long maintained he is at odds with some of Wright's sermons, and has likened him to an "old uncle" who sometimes will say things he doesn't agree with. He has also specifically denounced Wright's 9/11 comments.

An Obama campaign spokesman also said Thursday the Illinois senator "deplores divisive statements whether they come from his supporters, the supporters of his opponent, talk radio, or anywhere else."

Mark, quit being a hate-filled, nonsensical, anti-American class warfare waging, race-baiting divider.

Just stop. You know better. Behave.

Dan Trabue said...

Geez, with supporters like that, it's no wonder the Republican Party is becoming increasingly irrelevant!

"Obama has long maintained he is at odds with some of Wright's sermons, and has likened him to an "old uncle" who sometimes will say things he doesn't agree with."

Really?

Then why is he still a member of the church? If I belonged to a church who's pastor consistently preached messages that I didn't agree with, I would change churches. Why doesn't he?

Simple answer:

He really does agree with his pastor's views. Saying he doesn't agree while remaining a loyal member of the congregation is dichotomous. Actions speak louder than words.

By the way, I'm not a hate-filled, nonsensical, anti-American class warfare waging, race-baiting divider. I merely ask questions. It would seem from the evidence that better describes Barry Hussein Obama than it does me.

In fact, it better describes you than I, Dan.

Edwin Drood said...

Dan you of all people should be able to relate with Obama on this one. Both you attend "churches" that suffer from being side tracked by worldly issues. Like your church Obama's is not there to increase the faithful it’s there to churn out a political/partisan point of view.

By attending churches like these it shows either naiveness or bigotry. I do not want a gullible person or a bigoted person in the White House.

Sorry if I sound insulting, but you have lost the ability to access that part of your brain that is not crazy. Anyone who has even the smallest understanding of Christian faith would have walked out of that church and never came back. Not stay for 20 years.

Correction: You ask questions IMPLYING that President Obama might be a Muslim. That he might try to imprison and oppress white folk. That he might be a boogety man.

You've been doing this for over a month now and you do it all the time for others.

You objectively HAVE BEEN playing the race card.

You objectively HAVE BEEN engaging in class divisions.

You objectively HAVE BEEN engaging in hateful demonizations of others.

Look at your own words objectively and perhaps you will see why this type of language is making those who speak thusly become irrelevant.

Dan Trabue said...

I'm curious Mark (God help me): I listened to Reverend Wright's messages and, while I agree with Obama that he might be overplaying some points and I might even disagree with him outright on some points - where exactly do you see racism in what he's said? Where is the hate-mongering? The anti-semiticism or anti-Americanism?

He noted that we bombed Hiroshima and did other horrifying acts of war. Is that being hateful towards the US - to want the US to NOT engage in the targeting of innocents?

Anti-american? Anti-white? Anti-Jew? I'm not sure those words mean what you think they mean...

So many questions; undoubtably never to be answered by BHO himself. It would open up Pandora's Box and the liberals are too afraid to face what is inside.

Mark said...

Dan, regarding your first comment:

No. I point out racism and hatred and bigotry in others who would be leaders of this country. I do not play those cards. Barack Hussein Obama, Reverend (and I use the term loosely) Jeremiah Wright, and you play those cards.

I do not judge Obama by the color of his skin. I judge him by the content of his character, in which he appears increasingly lacking. I look at his agenda and his voting record in the Senate, and I think, "God help America if he becomes President".

In regards nto your second comment:
If you ever post a comment that stupid again, I will not publish it. You only want to argue. Even you can't possibly be that blind and ignorant.

"quit being a hate-filled, nonsensical, anti-American class warfare waging, race-baiting divider."

Try directing those comments to Rev. Wright: the man who actually is a anti-American, class warfare waging, race-baiting divider.

"Even you can't possibly be that blind and ignorant."

Mark, think about who you're addressing that statement toward.

Dan Trabue said...

Fellas, all you have to do to show that I or Wright or Obama have uttered the first racist word is to provide a quote - ANY quote in context - to support your claim.

You have not done so.

I have pointed out how you're objectively twisting words and spreading hatred.

Drood, we are without a doubt not perfect at our church. Nonetheless, I'd wager that even the smallest children at my church understand God better than you are demonstrating here by demonizing Obama and me, twisting what our churches are about.

That is quite diabolical. You are attributing God's work to craziness and wrong. You are bearing false witness (and I know how you all hate it when I point that out, but you are) and bordering on blasphemy.

I'll leave now and you can continue to bear false witness and describing God's work as done at my church and surely at Obama's to the devil or to craziness or whatever.

Or you can repent for such evil.

Your call.

Mark, I am quite sure I don't know what you mean. My second comment was merely a question: You have cast a serious charge of racism and hatred towards this man of God. WHERE IN WHAT HE HAS SAID is the hatred or racism?

You have provided no answer. I can only assume you have no answer.

As to this ridiculous charge that I "only want to argue," YOU are the one who is casting charges against a fellow Christian and citizen. You did.

I merely asked a question: WHAT DID HE SAY? That is not arguing, that is asking a question.

Dan Trabue: I'm sorry, but it is idiotic leftist morons like you have led this country down the path of moral degradation that we have gone, and it will be leftist idiots like you that will finish the destruction of America by electing people like Obama and Hillary, who are, without a doubt leftist, to the point of being un-American. And if the above statement makes me also a hate-filled, nonsensical, anti-American class warfare waging, race-baiting divider, as you call Mark, then I wear the title with honor.

It is liberal Democrat morons who are the dividers and hate mongers and it is your side that is the first to play the race card.

Mark said...

Here's just one of many quotes from the racist bigot who you call a "man of God":

"It just came to me with— with— with— within the past few weeks, y’all, why so many folks are hatin’ on Barack Obama. He doesn’t fit the mold. He ain’t white. He ain’t rich. And he ain’t privileged."

(By the way, I wish I was as poor and underprivileged as Obama. Maybe I could pay my bills on time)

Wrong. We be hatin' on Barack Obama because he has no experience, no workable solutions to the problems he percieves America has, offers nothing except "change" which basically means nothing, Has indicated he wants to raise taxes, wants to increase the amount of Americans with an entitlement mentality, wants to create a health care system as horrible, unworkable, and unpractical as Cuba's and Canada's, wants to surrender to the Islamic Jihadists, thereby encouraging and enabling them to attack us at will, etc. It has never been because of his skin color. I don't care if the next president is purple with pink polka dots if he keeps America the most powerful and free country on Earth. Obama means to destroy America's supremecy.

Accusing rich white men of hating someone because he's black is every bit as racist as a white man discriminating against a black man. Saying the hateful, hurtful things that he says about white people is racist!

But I get where you're coming from. You obviously think racism is only white discrimination against black, not the other way around.

Listen: Racism is racism. It makes no difference if the one who is preaching racial division and teaching that one race is superior to other races is black or white. It is all racism.

Marshal Art said...

Truly, Dan. To dare ask for proof of Wright's racism after listening to his sermon...you gotta be kidding. Talk about false witness. This guy, by mentioning Hiroshima, is going out of his way to find things over which he can drag white America. He's an idiot. He is a race baiter and there's no way I will believe you don't see it. That Obama can stay with this church for so long is quite telling. (That's where Oprah goes, too.) As mentioned all day long, he sought out this church. He chooses to go there. This guy speaks in this manner regularly, he gives an award to Farrakan, he makes trips to Lybia to meet with Qadaffi, and we shouldn't question the presidential candidate that calls this buffoon his spiritual mentor? It's no wonder Michelle Obama was never proud of America. Who would be listening to this crap every Sunday?

BTW, Dan. It's pretty tiresome to hear the charge of "bearing false witness" continually coming from someone who supports a heretical lie about Biblical support for homosexuality. Give it a rest.

Mark said...

"He did not accuse "rich white men" of anything. He suggested that "so many folks" are hating on him because he is not in the typical rich white guy mold."

I warned you, Dan. Intentional stupidity doesn't become you. In your zeal to support your candidate, you ignore ALL his shortcomings, and I use that word conservatively.

You asked for a quote, and you qualified your request with the words, "in context". I gave you one of many. Well, now it's your turn to read it "in context".

Wright is a racist. And if Obama sees him as his spiritual adsvisor, perhaps he is racist, too. This is not the 1950's. In case you haven't noticed blacks have achieved racial equality in this country for the most part. Yes, there is still some people who stupidly cling to racists attitudes, but overall blacks are not discriminated against anymore.

But the plain fact is, whether you want to believe it or not, more blacks are racist now than whites.

Bigger question:

How many other churches are there out there which resemble recruiting mosques?

How many hate-filled pastors are enticing their flocks to Jews, hate America, and hate white people?

How many pastors of these black mega-churches are preaching the message of vengeance against the oppressors of their ancestors?

Personally, I think this Wright revelation has shed light on the deep un-healable divisions within the the US. It's also shown that these black churches are inspired...and motivated much more by a quest for revenge than by the Gospel of Christ.

It's Helter Skelter in progress.

Al-Ozarka said...

Truth is...from what I know about Dan...what he's shared about his childhood...his Dad as a fundamental Baptist pastor and all...I think his motivation may be vengeance as well.

Obama's Minister Committed "Treason" But When My Father Said the Same Thing He Was a Republican Hero
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Frank Schaeffer

When Senator Obama's preacher thundered about racism and injustice Obama suffered smear-by-association. But when my late father -- Religious Right leader Francis Schaeffer -- denounced America and even called for the violent overthrow of the US government, he was invited to lunch with presidents Ford, Reagan and Bush, Sr.

Every Sunday thousands of right wing white preachers (following in my father's footsteps) rail against America's sins from tens of thousands of pulpits. They tell us that America is complicit in the "murder of the unborn," has become "Sodom" by coddling gays, and that our public schools are sinful places full of evolutionists and sex educators hell-bent on corrupting children. They say, as my dad often did, that we are, "under the judgment of God." They call America evil and warn of immanent destruction. By comparison Obama's minister's shouted "controversial" comments were mild. All he said was that God should damn America for our racism and violence and that no one had ever used the N-word about Hillary Clinton.

Dad and I were amongst the founders of the Religious right. In the 1970s and 1980s, while Dad and I crisscrossed America denouncing our nation's sins instead of getting in trouble we became darlings of the Republican Party. (This was while I was my father's sidekick before I dropped out of the evangelical movement altogether.) We were rewarded for our "stand" by people such as Congressman Jack Kemp, the Fords, Reagan and the Bush family. The top Republican leadership depended on preachers and agitators like us to energize their rank and file. No one called us un-American.

Consider a few passages from my father's immensely influential America-bashing book A Christian Manifesto. It sailed under the radar of the major media who, back when it was published in 1980, were not paying particular attention to best-selling religious books. Nevertheless it sold more than a million copies.

Here's Dad writing in his chapter on civil disobedience:

If there is a legitimate reason for the use of force [against the US government]... then at a certain point force is justifiable.

And this:

In the United States the materialistic, humanistic world view is being taught exclusively in most state schools... There is an obvious parallel between this and the situation in Russia [the USSR]. And we really must not be blind to the fact that indeed in the public schools in the United States all religious influence is as forcibly forbidden as in the Soviet Union....

Then this:

There does come a time when force, even physical force, is appropriate... A true Christian in Hitler's Germany and in the occupied countries should have defied the false and counterfeit state. This brings us to a current issue that is crucial for the future of the church in the United States, the issue of abortion... It is time we consciously realize that when any office commands what is contrary to God's law it abrogates it's authority. And our loyalty to the God who gave this law then requires that we make the appropriate response in that situation...

Was any conservative political leader associated with Dad running for cover? Far from it. Dad was a frequent guest of the Kemps, had lunch with the Fords, stayed in the White House as their guest, he met with Reagan, helped Dr. C. Everett Koop become Surgeon General. (I went on the 700 Club several times to generate support for Koop).

Dad became a hero to the evangelical community and a leading political instigator. When Dad died in 1984 everyone from Reagan to Kemp to Billy Graham lamented his passing publicly as the loss of a great American. Not one Republican leader was ever asked to denounce my dad or distanced himself from Dad's statements.

Take Dad's words and put them in the mouth of Obama's preacher (or in the mouth of any black American preacher) and people would be accusing that preacher of treason. Yet when we of the white Religious Right denounced America white conservative Americans and top political leaders, called our words "godly" and "prophetic" and a "call to repentance."

We Republican agitators of the mid 1970s to the late 1980s were genuinely anti-American in the same spirit that later Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson (both followers of my father) were anti-American when they said God had removed his blessing from America on 9/11, because America accepted gays. Falwell and Robertson recanted but we never did.

My dad's books denouncing America and comparing the USA to Hitler are still best sellers in the "respectable" evangelical community and he's still hailed as a prophet by many Republican leaders. When Mike Huckabee was recently asked by Katie Couric to name one book he'd take with him to a desert island, besides the Bible, he named Dad's Whatever Happened to the Human Race? a book where Dad also compared America to Hitler's Germany.

The hypocrisy of the right denouncing Obama, because of his minister's words, is staggering. They are the same people who argue for the right to "bear arms" as "insurance" to limit government power. They are the same people that (in the early 1980s roared and cheered when I called down damnation on America as "fallen away from God" at their national meetings where I was keynote speaker, including the annual meeting of the ultraconservative Southern Baptist convention, and the religious broadcasters that I addressed.

Today we have a marriage of convenience between the right wing fundamentalists who hate Obama, and the "progressive" Clintons who are playing the race card through their own smear machine. As Jane Smiley writes in the Huffington Post "[The Clinton's] are, indeed, now part of the 'vast right wing conspiracy.' (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jane-smiley/im-already-against-the-n_b_90628.html )

Both the far right Republicans and the stop-at-nothing Clintons are using the "scandal" of Obama's preacher to undermine the first black American candidate with a serious shot at the presidency. Funny thing is, the racist Clinton/Far Right smear machine proves that Obama's minister had a valid point. There is plenty to yell about these days.

Frank Schaeffer is a writer and author of "CRAZY FOR GOD-How I Grew Up As One Of The Elect, Helped Found The Religious Right, And Lived To Take All (Or Almost All) Of It Back

Nice offering ER. Unfortunately, this guy sounds like a nutjob. The parallel he draws is false. What he, and more to the point, his father railed against is demonstrably true. Abortion and homosexual behavior, pornography, sex before marriage, adultery. All these things are without a doubt contrary to Biblical teachings and rampant in America. It is not unBiblical to suppose that God possibly withdrew His protection for these sins and in doing so 9/11 was allowed to happen. (We'll find out for sure in the hereafter.)

But what Wright spews is absolutely anti-American right from the beginning as we review their 10 points of their mission statement. It is absolutely wrong to preach as if there can ever be a different message for one race over another. Nothing in the Bible supports this practice in any way, shape or form. If we want to speak on injustice, we can do this. If we want to speak on a black Christ living the same horror as the blacks of America, this is heresy. He is a race baiter. Francis Shaeffer, based on what little is offered, is concerned about the moral character of our nation. Frank Shaeffer seems like an asshole. If his father was truly acting in an unAmerican manner in his preaching, those great Republicans wouldn't waste their time with him. In time I will read this guy's works and get back to ya. Right now, his son has his head up his ass if he thinks Wright is a clone of Frank's dad.

Mark,

Pardon my harshness above. I'm not hacked at ER for presenting the Shaeffer piece, but I am hacked at what little Frankie wrote. Seems he spent a lot of time with the old man and didn't learn a freakin' thing.
