Obamalot

"All we've been through, for nothing but an idea! Something that you cannot taste, smell, or feel; without substance, life, reality, memory." ~ King Arthur (From "Camelot")

If Barry Hussein Obama's speeches are to be believed, he will save the world from evil America. He will stop Global warming, or Global cooling, or whatever catastrophe the consensus of scientists on Al Gore's favor list are pushing at the time he recites the oath of office.

Incidentally, when he recites the oath of office, will he place his hand on a Bible or a copy of "The Communist Manifesto"? Will he salute the United States flag at that time or use it as a torch? Will he face Mecca as he takes the oath?

As I mentioned in my previous post, he also intends to end the war by apparently promising the terrorists something that will make them discard their arms and bombs and lovingly embrace the Jews and Christians all over the world.

It is not known what he will promise them, but if it's anything short of surrender and converting the entire world to Islam, it won't work. The terrorists have repeatedly stated at every opportunity that they demand total submission to their God and their laws. They have promised to wipe out everyone on Earth who doesn't convert to their particular brand 0f Islam.

Nevertheless, B. Hussein Obama promises peace. The Lion will lay down with the Lamb, and all will be right with the world.

He promises to deliver free health care for every man, woman, and child in America whether they want it or not. He has even suggested that everyone in America will have to submit to periodical physical exams even if they are healthy. And amazingly, his health care system will not result in long lines of sick people waiting forever for drastic medical procedures. He will presumably rush them right through just like a General Motors assembly line, except with no mistakes.

He has not said how he intends to pay for this extravagant health care plan, but I am sure he has a plan.

All of these things carry an exorbitant price tag, but B. Hussein promises the majority of Americans will not have to pay for them. Only wealthy Americans. One would have to assume he plans to create everyone equal.

In short, Mr. Hussein Obama will bring us his version of Camelot.

Obamalot (with apologies to Alan Jay Lerner)

A law was made a distant moon ago here:
July and August cannot be too hot.
And there's a legal limit to the snow here
In Obamalot.

The winter is forbidden till December
And exits March the second on the dot.
By order, summer lingers through September
In Obamalot.

Obamalot! Obamalot!
I know it sounds a bit bizarre,
But in Obamalot, Obamalot
That's how conditions are.

The rain may never fall till after sundown.
By eight, the morning fog must disappear.

In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Obamalot.

Obamalot! Obamalot!
I know it gives a person pause,
But in Obamalot, Obamalot
Those are the legal laws.

The snow may never slush upon the hillside.
By nine p.m. the moonlight must appear.

In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Obamalot.

Mocking the Bible now, are we?

And Obama has detailed not only how he will pay for healthcare, but how it will SAVE taxpayer dollars.

Don't worry, if history is any indicator, Obama will reduce the rate of growth of gov't, just as the last three Dem administrations have ALL done (as opposed to the last three Republican administrations, which have all INCREASED our national deficit and the size at which gov't grows).

Don't believe the hype that the last three Republicans have been anything BUT big gov't. Reality doesn't bear that out.

Nice Obamalot wording there, by the way.

So if Obamalot is what we face with B. Hussein, does it end like Arthurs Camelot, with a sex scandal and a war ?

Obamamania will die a slow death as voters see how shallow and avoidance of the tough questions continues!

dan you are really going to hate me for this but the deficit is going down.

If Obamalot begins to disintegrate the nation after a year or two, will we be forced to allow him to finish out his term? If we do, that would be a real frightening thought.

LOL, well said Mark, well said, and he will solve all the world's problems because he is the Obama, saying nothing while doing all having done nothing but ride the corrupt Chicago Daley machine.

Check out the
chart for real world numbers...

Or you can look here.

The Reagan, Bush and Bush presidencies were spending monsters.

Abouna fearmongered:

If Obamalot begins to disintegrate the nation after a year or two, will we be forced to allow him to finish out his term?

If President Obama does just fine with the nation (in spite of our being left in tatters by eight years of the Bush debacle and the looming shadow of a sickly economy made deadly worse by failing to have an energy plan), will Abouna apologize for putting his faith in Bush and for criticizing President Obama?

Dan check your sources the first one doesn't match up with its source (check GDP) and the second one doesn’t even factor in GDP and we both know you can’t discuss deficit without GDP right???

Its real simple take the raw debt and divide it by GDP that will return a percentage that is useful information unlike the sites you listed.

Knowledge is power Dan

one more piece of knowlege for ya dan, only congress can spend.

If you knew that then you never would have posted that cedarcomm.com website.

Dan Trabue said...

It is indisputable that Reagan/Bush and Bush drove gov't up significantly. They asked for buttloads of money and Congress gave it to them.

Ignore reality if you wish, it remains reality.

Trader Rick said...

"Reality" for some is just delusional insanity in the real world, where the rest of us live.

Edwin Drood said...

Your right Dan, if you don’t take into account our country separation of powers, historical events from the last 30 years , and basic mathematical formulas then Regan, Bush I & II were out of control spenders.

One more question: Has a bumper sticker or a late night talk show host ever convinced you to vote for a candidate (cartoons count too)? Because formal education obviously didn’t play much of a role.

Dan Trabue said...

Okay, perhaps it's a matter of semantics. Let me put it this way...

When Reagan, Bush and Bush were in office, the US spending went WAAAYYYY up. Up higher and higer than it was before, when it was LOWER. Reaganbushbush also created a much larger (as opposed to smaller) national debt because they spend more and more but taxed less and less.

And what happens when you spend more than you bring in? That's called "Debt." The "debt" increased drastically when these three were in office (as opposed to decreasing or at least levelling off, which is what happened with Carter and Clinton).

The reason for the HUGE increase in spending is because Reaganbushbush wanted to spend MORE and MORE on military, roads, prisons, police forces, etc. And Congress LET them spend more and more. Instead of LESS.

The presidents submitted budgets and congress mostly went along with it.

Now the Reaganbushbush DID cut some spending. Aid to homeless and mentally ill veterans and other homeless and mentally ill people, for instance. This resulted in the states having to spend MORE and MORE (as opposed to LESS) because of the results of those budget cuts.

You see, not all budget cuts are equal. Some programs actually SAVE taxpayer money. THOSE are the programs Reaganbushbush preferred to cut. Along with programs promoting a responsible energy plan (which we're paying for now, too).

So when I say, "Spending increased under Reaganbushbush," what I mean is that they spent MORE money on MASSIVE GOV'T programs by asking Congress to go along with their wishes, which Congress did. They spent MORE instead of LESS, which resulted in a BIGGER gov't.

Does that help?

You know what'd be cool? If we could merge Republican tax cuts with Democratic promised zeal for balanced budgets.

Instead, it seems we get Republican tax cuts with increased deficit spending and Democratic balanced budgets by way of higher taxes.

Marshal Art said...

Really, Cameron. I don't believe the Dems really care about a balanced budget. Not so sure about many Repubs, either. I can't think of any reason to believe otherwise.
