An Illegal Abortion

"If it were not for injustice, men would not know justice." ~ Heraclitus

Gayle, The Dragon Lady (not Hillary) mentioned over at her place, that she recently experienced some temporary blogger's block. I have suffered somewhat the same malady, except mine wouldn't be considered bloggers' block so much as a lack of passion. I just haven't been feeling that particular sense of outrage that makes me want to sit down and start pecking on this keyboard.

But yesterday, I heard the news that the body of a missing pregnant woman had been found, and her boyfriend, the father of her unborn child, arrested for her murder. That draws out the old familiar passion. Why passion for this one singular case as opposed to all the hundreds of murders that go on continually across this country?

The boyfriend, a police officer, was arrested on two counts of murder.

Two counts? He allegedly killed one woman. He only aborted the baby. After all, the baby wasn't out of the womb yet.

Why is he being charged with murder for something doctors all over the world are doing everyday legally?

According to Liberal law, made legitimate through unashamed Liberal manipulation of the Supreme Court of the United States, the unborn baby of Jesse Davis was not even a viable human being. The fetus before birth is actually only a lump of tissue. Why is it illegal to simply remove a lump of non-viable tissue? How, in our Liberal world, can Bobby Cutts Jr. be charged with murder?

It seems to me, if we are to be bound by the Supreme Courts ruling, the most he should be charged with in regard to the removal of a lump of tissue, is performing an abortion without a license, or maybe performing an abortion without presenting his girlfriend with a bill for his services.

Why isn't NARAL objecting to the additional charge of murder? Or Planned Parenthood? Or NOW?

Well, it's early yet.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the ACLU defends him, if not against both charges of murder, at least the charge of murder of the unborn baby. Sorry, I mean fetus.

Of course I am being facetious. The fact is, this time the law got it right. The killing of an unborn infant is murder. It's murder whether it is committed by an evil, murderous cop or a legally licensed doctor. Murder is murder. And murdering an unborn baby is particularly heinous.

To prosecute this murder and not abortionists is as much a murder of reason as it is a murder of a baby.

Oh, one more observation. The accused murderer is a black man. That means along with the ACLU, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will soon be descending on Canton bloviating about how Bobby Cutts is only being accused because he is black or because his civil rights are being violated or something. Somehow, they will manage to bring racism into the equation. They will probably blame the murders on the dead white woman.

But wait. In this Liberal society, logic doesn't count. Only emotion.

Well said. Amazing how liberals cannot understand that the very life they wish to abort is their future also.

By the way the law that allows this murderer to be charged for the baby is called , "Laci's law, after Lacy peterson and it is a law now thanks to the insistance of President Bush!

It shouldn't have needed to be a seperate law. As I said, MURDER IS MURDER.

As far as I know the US hasn’t legalised abortion all the way up to birth, have they??

Having done a quick Google of the name, it appears that Jesse Davis was nine months pregnant – and so was (I’m assuming!) past the period during which abortion would have been legal. I’m no lawyer but I’d say that in such a case the charge was inevitably murder.

Sweet rant!

Love the last line. Dead on.

Dragon Lady here (not Hillary. LOL). Thank you for pointing that out, Mark. :)

Excellent rant and excellent reasoning. I must admit I hadn't thought of that angle until you brought it up on my post. I thought - and answered you - that it was probably because that poor, unfortunate baby was ready to be born. I'm not up on "Laci's Law" that Mike referred to and will have to look it up, but you are exactly right: It should not need to be a seperate law. Murder is indeed murder, and unborn babies are human beings. To have to have a special law to cover the murder of unborn people shows absolutely just how much the liberals have gotten away with.

Great post!

I believe that as things stand right now, there is someplace in this country where an abortion can be had at any time for any reason. Some states are more restrictive than others, but that's the way I understand it. Without a doubt, there are those who insist that the mother, and only the mother, should be free to make that decision as it suits her.

And that goes to the question of how there should be a need for a separate law protecting the unborn. Until such a law was passed, it was the mother who determined whether inside her grew a child or a lump of tissue. Again, that is how I understand it to be, and also again, I'm sure every state is a bit different on the topic.

But this is a case where it's not the Christian who ignores science. Most of us are pretty clear on the passing of human life from the parents to the child so that the product of intercourse can be nothing BUT a human being, endowed by it's Creator with the right to life. It's basic biology.

They won't blame the murders on the dead white woman, Mark. They will find a way to blame them on the guy that brought us Huricane Katrina, bad movies, infectious diseases, and a host of other ills: George W. Bush...

Check out "Tiller the Baby Killer"....

Off topic: Just stopping by to thank you for your comment regarding the attempted scam and to let you know that the insurance adjustor believes it is a scam too. He couldn't find so much as a teensy scratch on our car. I knew he wouldn't because my car did not do the damage. :)

Henry, I am well familiar with George Tiller the baby Killer. His "Clinic is on the corner of a street I used to live on in Wichita. When I lived there, he wasn't there yet, but if I still lived there, I would merely have to cross the street from my apartment to reach his clinic's side door.

His description of how he aborts a baby is horrifying. He injects something in the womb to insure the baby is stillborn. How callous!

This is an excellent post. It brings out the double standard that we have in our legal system.

The double standard of making it legal for mothers and their abortionists to kill and innocent unborn child, but if someone else kills or harms the pregnant women and it results in her death, then that person can be charged with murder in the death of the baby.

We also have a double standard when it comes to child molesters. If the molester is a man, then he is treated very harshly if convicted, but if the molester is a woman (especially a very pretty one, she gets a very light prison sentence, if any at all, "because it isn't the same as a man doing the molesting" (so says Geraldo).

So much for "equality under the Law".

Liam: Some states do allow what they call "Late term abortion" which could be performed even as the child is being born. I won't go into the gruesome details as to how it is performed, but suffice it to say that it is barbaric.

great read!..ah yes the good ole double standard is alive and well!!

Which double standard is that?

Gayle said...

I'm not sure, but I believe Angel is referring to the double standard of the liberals in regard to the taking of human life. They are against the death penalty, but at the same time they are for legal abortions, which is indeed a double standard.

Hi Mark,
Another good post. Yes, logic and reason always fall to a good, emotional rant...

Oh please, Scott Peterson was arrested for two counts of murder. Don't act like people don't think of fetuses as property. Which they amounted to in the bible.
