More Predictions

"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." ~ Isaac Asimov

The tragic events at Virginia Tech University yesterday has started me thinking again, (see previous post) and so, I have a couple more predictions to share.

Prediction number 1:

I will not go so far as to say at this point that I believe the shooter was a Muslim, but my prediction is, if it becomes known that the shooter was a Muslim, we won't hear it from the Mainstream media. We won't hear it on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, or read it in the New York Slimes, Washington ComPost, the L.A. Slimes, The Cleveland Claim Dealer, etc.

The media simply doesn't want to blame Muslims for anything. If the media is forced to acknowledge the shooter is a Muslim, they will find a way to blame his onslaught on Conservatism, or Christianity, or both.

However, you may hear it from FOX News.

Prediction number 2:

OK. This one is a no-brainer. The gun control left will renew their incessant call for outlawing guns. The right will renew their insistence that "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns". And the right will be ...well...right. Left wingers will cite other countries that don't have high gun related death rates because of strict gun control laws, and Conservatives will point out true statistics that refute that myth.

Prediction number 3:

There will be copycat shootings in other schools within the next few weeks. Probably not Colleges. Most likely high schools.

Prediction number 4:

In short order, The Democratically controlled United States Congress will introduce legislation that will make it illegal to shoot students on College campuses. This is something that I have always referred to as "Typical Government Overkill".

Remember the case of Matthew Shepard, the gay young man who was beaten to death by a couple of gay bashing thugs in Wyoming? Congress reacted to his death by passing a law that effectively made it illegal to kill gays because they are gay.

The dragging death of James Byrd in Texas by a couple of white racists prompted Congress to pass a law making it illegal to kill people because of their color.

The preceding examples are labeled "hate Crime legislation" to distinguish them from just plain murder, which as we all know, is already illegal.

I might point out here, that the Democrats know that shooting college students on college campuses is already illegal, but this will prove to the gullible that Democrats are at least doing something to prevent violence.

Actually, to be fair, I shouldn't lay this unnecessary legislation on the Democrats doorstep alone. Many Republicans introduce equally redundant laws.

Oh well, I suppose that's what we pay them for, isn't it?

Interestingly, Virginia voted down a bill that would allow students to carry on campus - they wanted safe campuses & were wary of students carrying guns.

And yes, if a Muslim shooter, you won't hear much from the MSN. And yes, the wackos will be reinvigorated about gun control. And yes, the Dems will pass a bill saying it's illegal to illegally do illegal things to Americans & illegals.

Speaking of Muslims - interesting things going on in Minnesota. Muslim airport taxi drivers refuse to take passengers who carry alcohol, plus they want a Muslim prayer room in the airport. Target Muslim cashiers refuse to scan bacon at checkouts. Minnesota college installing foot washing basins at the demand of Muslims - the same college that banned Christmas music last year. It will soon be called Muslimsota. These people are very very strange - be afraid.

Mark, Congrats on receiving the "Thinking Bloger Award"

Also, you right on with everyone of your predictions.

Francis Lynn: Once the Muslims have succeeded is turning Minnesota into a Muslim state under Shira Law, I believe that Michigan will be next, as they have a huge Muslim community in Detroit. Then they can take over America one city and one State at a time.

Astute predictions. This will also become a fight against the Second Amendment by the left before its over with.

When a whaco whether Muslim,or any other religion or person wants to kill they will find a way regardless of laws!

By the way PC in the media will keep from reporting that he was a Muslim if it truns out that way because Islam is the religion of choice.

If he had been raised Christian, it would have been reported right after his name and accusations of right wing conspriacies would have already been played out in the media.

No, Virginians never had a chance to vote down the bill allowing students to carry on campus. The Democrats wouldn't allow it out of committee.

There are a few countries that have strict gun control and low rates of violent crime. North Korea and Cuba come to mind.

What or why should this have anything to do with Muslims. This nut was a Christian, naturalized and raised in this country since he was 8 years old.

Would it have been any better for the dead and bereft it if had been a white killer? I think not.

First prediction - wrong... And Mark, why would you even go there? To race? Why would that be your first thought?

Mark said...

Wrong, Mudcat. My prediction is predicated on IF it turns out he is a Muslim. I said, "I will not go so far as to say at this point that I believe the shooter was a Muslim, but my prediction is, if it becomes known that the shooter was a Muslim, we won't hear it from the Mainstream media." The prediction is about how the media will handle information that doesn't fit into their PC agenda.

But where do you get the notion that he was a Christian? His actions surely don't support that, and his suicide note indicates he was definitely NOT a Christian.

Anonymous said...

A prediction predicated on an "if" is not a prediction. It's speculation. Big dif. And why would your speculation be raced based or religion based?

(The first thing I thought was, crazy loner...)

He was raised, and evidently abused by Christians. That's the info that is trickling out.

Mark said...

Mudkitty, if you knew anything about true Christianity, you'd know that abuse is anything but Christian.

Just because one is raised in some "Christian" church, it doesn't make one a Christian any more than being raised in a garage makes one a car.

Erudite Redneck said...

Mudkitty, if you knew anything about true Christianity, you'd look anywhere but here for it.

Mark, yer delusional as usual. Glad to see you being consistent at least. :-P

Mark said...

Delusional?

Exactly what about "Being raised in a church doesn't make one a Christian than being raised in a garage makes one a car" is delusional? Are you saying that because you go to an apostate church, that makes you a Christian?

Erudite Redneck said...

I was referring to your stuff in general, but I did have your first prediction on this post in mind specifically.

But you've just demonstrated why I don't darken your door, and enlighten your life, much anymore.

You're a name-caller, and you wear your ignorance like a badge of honor. There is nothing apostate about my church. Nothing.

Oh, and you advocate the murder of innocents crossing the border into this country, desperate for a better life -- you've said so -- which makes you a murderer in fact, according to the words of Jesus you so regularly make a mockery of.

You're way off, man, on everything. All of it. Thinking Blogger? Ha. Ha. Ta ta.

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

I would say anyone who thinks sin is acceptable to the Lord delusional.

I had to look up "erudite" just to be sure I understood the word. Having confirmed that I do, I can't say as I've read anything that supports the claim of being erudite by Erudite Redneck. He must save it for some other blog.

"This nut was a Christian..."

A Christian? How do you know, Kitten?

Answer?

You don't. You just HOPE he was. He wasn't...his testimony, which is being thrust upon us from every side, proves it.

"Mudkitty, if you knew anything about true Christianity, you'd look anywhere but here for it."

Reverend Redneck h'ain't no ways judgemental, is he?

Le'ssee...he said over at El's..."good thing they didn't mention Christ at the memorial service" (paraphrased)...then he doesn't recognize what most of us clearly see...that Mark holds sound Christian positions.

Two strikes, Rev!

"Mudkitty, if you knew anything about true Christianity, you'd look anywhere but here for it."

Mudkitty, if you knew anything about real Christianity, you would know that Cho-murder-boy was anything BUT a Christian.

But you'll keep on spouting your hatred. I'm pretty dang sure of it.

Al-Ozarka said...

Mark, you have TWO individuals commenting who hate the Christ you represent.

They've plainly made that clear, haven't they?

I can imagine what their remarks make YOU imagine about the SPIRIT that drives them.

Wonder where Dan is...

"You're a name-caller, and you wear your ignorance like a badge of honor." Right Reverend Redneck

Rev, piety eludes you, you know.

Really...you need to take your sandals and robe off. Heck...you'd probably get along with everyone a bit better if you'd just take that irritating crown of thorns from your brow!

Give us a freaking break!

Sometimes you really just make me want to vomit, dude.

Al-Ozarka said...

"Oh, and you advocate the murder of innocents crossing the border into this country, desperate for a better life -- you've said so..." Right Reverend Redneck

Yeah, Mark...nanny-nanny boo boo!

Jot this down on your notepad if you have not done so already, Mark. When the Right Reverend DOES darken you're door again, he'll be sure to remind you that you once wrote a farcicle piece advocating shooting illegals as they cross the southern border.

Reckon we can all count on that.

(Can you believe that its people like ER who are re-writing American history? Scary, huh?)

Mark said...

ER, you said, "you advocate the murder of innocents crossing the border into this country, desperate for a better life."

Wrong. I advocate shooting illegal aliens trying to illegally cross the border. Illegal means they are NOT innocent. They are criminals.

Mark said...

Seriously, ER, if you really don't understand the difference betweem illegal aliens illegally entering this country and legal immigrants legally entering this country, you have no right insinuating that I don't think.

And if you can't comment here without questioning my intelligence, then go ahead and leave, and never darken my towels again.

Pamela Reece said...

As a CHRISTIAN, I can say this; Christians do NOT, I repeat, do not carry grudges, discriminate, nor do we believe in hate. We believe in TRUTH! Mark isn't saying anything that has not been unfounded or untrue. As another proud Christian, he is not the one who is speaking untruths, it is the media! Do any of you really believe that NBC had a "tough decision" to make to release the tapes, photos and letters this mad man wrote? Heck no. Everyone was out to make a buck. Just because Mark can call it as he sees it, does NOT make him anything more than a Christian truth seeker. "Seek the truth and it shall be found."

Marshal Art said...

"... leave, and never darken my towels again."

Duck Soup reference. Very cool.

Pam - I know many Christians who do the very thing you claim they don't do. Everyone is a Christian who calls themselves Christian, including 80% of those in prison. When people speak of true Christians vs false, then it's Christian turning against Christian. That's just one of the reasons I'm an ex-Christian.

Daddio - I said Cho was raised Christian...you need to learn to read carefully before you raise your blood pressure.

And Daddio - how do I know he was raised Christian...because his family said he was, and all news reports said he was. Frankly, I don't care what religion he was, or wasn't, or what race he was, or wasn't, do you think the dead would be any happier dead had it been a white killer? Or would you be happier if it had been a Muslim killer?

Aside from the fact that you, Daddiboy have a very short fuse yourself, and the fact that you can't stand me, what's your point?

Mark - so you advocate killing people trying to cross the border? Are you serious? These people are comeing here for a better life...

Al-Ozarka said...

"This nut was a Christian..."

You said it...I didn't make it up.

Who says I don't like you? I don't know you. I don't like your philosophy. That's what I know about you.

"I said Cho was raised Christian...you need to learn to read carefully before you raise your blood pressure. "

And you'd best learn to remember what you said...or at least to go back and read what you said your own dang self.

(Hint...5th comment)

"Everyone is a Christian who calls themselves Christian..."

And everyone who calls himself Napoleon is Napoleon. It takes more than just calling oneself Christian to be a Christian. There has to be some outward sign, as we are mandated to act in a manner that we can be identified as Christians by how we act.

That being said, your point is, in fact, not totally untrue. There are many Christians who do indeed engage in the behavior Pamela described. They aren't really good Christians, but they may indeed believe and accept Christ as their Savior. None of us are perfect, that's why we need a Savior like Jesus.

Now, that being said, Pamela's point is better stated that good, devout, pious Christians don't act that way. But the fact that so few of us maintain that lofty mindset is a crappy reason for no longer being a Christian yourself. One of my favorite BS lines is: "Naw, I don't go to church anymore. Too many hypocrites." Aside from the fact that church is where sinners belong, he who speaks that BS line is rarely they type of person he THINKS should be there. Kinda sounds like your reason.

As to shooting illegals crossing the border, why not? They're invaders after all. They're sneaking in against the law. You can assume the intentions of those sneaking into your home at night if you like, but those breeching our borders is a different thing. Of course, I'm not totally heartless. I'd settle for warning shots until they prove that warning shots aren't good enough.

Mark said...

I won't apologize for saying illegals should be shot for entering this country illegally.

But I also agree with Marshall. Police are authorized to use deadly force to apprehend criminals in other crimes.

Entering this country illegally is a crime, and it has become a very serious crime. Considering that many of the illegals entering this country are murderers, drug trafficers, terrorists, and various other criminlas, besides being criminals by virtue of the crime they are committing the second they step actross the border, there should be a warning, then a warning shot, then the border control officers should aim for the legs first. Killing them should be a last resort, but they must be made to understand there will be consequences to breaking our laws.

Mark said...

Actually this issue about illegals ties in to the issue of how the media makes victims out of criminals. They are illegal. That makes them criminals. Criminals should be punished not treated as special victims.

Al-Ozarka said...

"...but they must be made to understand there will be consequences to breaking our laws."

Oops! Mark...you just spoke in a language that liberals only understand when the suspect has an R next to his/her name.

Remember...good sense is Greek to them.
