Christmas 2009

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." ~ Luke 2:10-11

With all the forces of darkness hard at work all around us, sometimes it's difficult to remember Who's really in control.

At Christmas time, Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, the rightful King of this world.

Often we need to be reminded of the lesson contained within the words of this song, particularly when our country's leaders seem so bound and determined to destroy this great country.

And in despair I bowed my head.
"There is no peace on Earth", I said,
"For hate is strong
And mocks the song of
Peace on Earth goodwill to men".

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep,
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep.
The wrong shall fail,
The right prevail,
With Peace on Earth, goodwill to men."

There is still hope as long as we remember God is not dead, nor doth He sleep.

To all my fellow bloggers and friends, I say unto you, this day,

Merry Christmas!

I hope you had a great Christmas! I really liked this post and enjoyed the Chet and Suzie rendition. I had a blessed Christmas with my family and now have a computer again after a long absence. May all God's children enjoy His presence and blessings in this world of confusion and darkness. He is our Hope! mom2
